So people who are part of a club shouldn't pay memberships?
Unfortunately there is a culture of not paying subs, my point is if you want to be part of the club do the right thing and pay $30 for a social membership or pay your playing membership.
Pay subs = have a say, simple
Involvement from any parent is encouraged, the more the better, tell the ones you know to get involved if they are concerned about it.
We have one junior team that will be affected U14's. Do you think if we had U16's and U18's we would be looking at the Hills?
3 Committee members have sons playing U14's and have expressed interest in the hills league.

Personally I'll accept either stay SFL or go Hills.

Anyone got any word at all on what's happening next year? Besides the Hills league debacle? For instance - are the Sharks retaining Shane Lynch as coach? Fielding an U-18 side? Building a papier-mache shark suit for someone to wear as a mascot? (No, I'm not putting my hand up.) I want to hear some news!

As I mentioned on the Southern Forum I have heard that the Sharks are looking for a new coach or that Lynch wanted to move on....?either way I'm not sure but pretty first hand information from a bloke who is around that club.

Would be interesting to hear someone from inside the clubs opinion, especially with all of the Hills League talk. Fisho by the sounds of what I've read previously your involved down there, if they were to move do you support it or depends on coaching decisions and what not?

I believe Aldinga will be advertising all coaching positions. Season isn't over yet and will probably be the new 2009 committee to decide coaches. Please don't take my post as gospel though.

At least playing has to be even a little bit more exciting than how boring this forum has been in the past week.

I don't think Aldinga should move to the Hills league next year. I would be waiting until the end of next year to make a decision. At the moment I think they are considering the move for the wrong reasons. While I think that the SFL is hopelessly disorganised and have done bugger-all for Aldinga, I would nevertheless stick it out for at least another year, because I think that we'll all see an improvement.

Anyway, whether or not Aldinga move to the Hills league, I don't play for the Sharks - I'm the missus of someone who does - but if he stays with Aldinga, I'll support whatever decision the club makes. I've got my opinions - who doesn't? - but I'm not going to walk away just because I don't agree with something. Come on the Sharks. 8)

I agree Aldinga should stay in the SFL as I have posted before,BUT to say the SFL is hopelessly disorganised and have done bugger all for Aldinga is out of line. They can only give you advise and support but the real work has to come from your own backyard  (you could start by making a good cup of tea  )

In all seriousness Aldinga have to stay in the SFL. Not just from the weekends win but this is what they know and what thy were working towards 5 years ago and I dont think a backwards step is the key. If the SFL are looking at bringing in some other sides this could also mean 2 divs is on the cards but I doubt it. Div 1 is what the club aimed for years ago and were there so they dont want to waste their opportunities.

Sounds like a great win on the weekend to them. I haven't had much to do ever with MorphettVille Park but know quite a few people disagree with their arrogance and it seems they were put back in their place on the weekend. Well done Aldinga.

What have they possibly got to be arrogant about? Terrible oval, Terrible colours and they had Tony Meekins coaching there for too long (Anymore than 1 game with him at the helm is too long).

Good post retiree.
ZC they were a bunch of cocky halfwits and we loved finally winning one of the close ones thats for sure. They have absolutely no reason to be arrogant but retiree was right they thought they were it and a bit and were slinging their mouths off all day. R.Harts play in the third quarter had us all in hysterics and them wondering what the hell was happening. With us finally playing some great team footy it was a good feeling amongst the group who never at any stage gave up.

I heard that harty was being threatened by the morphy park supporters, must have been pretty funny it's always good to shut morphy park people up, for an average team they are all pretty arrogant down there...
