the season i played with him i saw more midget basketballers than that bloke running laps.
And can any1 tell me how cove can afford Anderson??
Might need him this year bombers recruited well and wont repeat the final last year.. m/vale vs brighton GF

Who have they recruited thats so good? they wern't that good last year and have had some experienced players retire this season. They would need more than one gun recruit to make the steps up to the GF this season and aslo francis to do a good job :?: and would he :?:

VC (or should I say Hibberd!!!!!), you seem to be the only person I've heard talk up this bloke, everyone else thinks he's average and very, very lazy. You haven't denied he's lazy, do you agree with that statement or do you think he's a hard worker? He won't be a top full forward in the HFL let alone a good player if he doesn't train.

The Gimp V's VC = Checkmate.

What the latest on Ironbank Thunder D-U??? I have heard a few whispers, but your probably a bit closer to the action than me. My mail is that Imperials are Chasing Wendleburn pretty hard, hope he's not a one-year wonder for you's. cant afford to lose players like that

How many goals did Wendleborn kick for Ironbank this year? Is he still playing Full Forward? Are any Southern Clubs looking at him?

he didn't play to much at full forwrd. spent a bit of time in the ruck and middle when we played against him. very good player. good leap and mark. if he was to leave thunderers it would be a huge loss!

I dont think any southeren league clubs would be chasing scotty wendleborn unless he 1/2 the amount of money he wants. Again another player who never made it in that league going to Tailem and ironbank on very inflaited money for his worth.

VC/Hibberd, if you read my post, I never said if he was a good or bad player, just that he wouldn't be good in the Hills comp if he doesn't train, also, when did I ever say that I played with him??

You didn't even answer the question, just dodged it!! Another question, do you think kicking 30 odd goals in the first 3 rounds against the bottom sides and then only kicking 20 odd for the rest of the season denotes a good season?

What do you think a "great" player is? There are many attributes that make a great player but these are ones high on my list; outstanding skills, has had success (team and individual), works hard, trains hard, is a team player and has the ability to change the outcome of a game either by the way he plays or the way he inspires his team mates to play.

Yes, I will wait to see how he goes and hopefully I'll get to play against him so I can experience first hand how "great" he is.

Postby disco stu » Fri Dec 22, 2006 10:42 am

hey dion/vc ,
the subject is wearing thin but at least your sticking with your guns, to bad you dont train as well as you defend yourself on this site you'd be a star... but now you have to drive even further away for training im sure you will turn up more!
good luck next year im sure when you play the bottom sides and kick 10 you will be blowing your own trumpet again. I just hope and look forward to hearing from you when you play the top sides and that hammy, groin, back, knee or little finger plays up and your a no show. :)

Anyone know how either Nathan Larchin (Aldinga) or Jody Tassone (Noarlunga) did this season?

Dont think tassone played all year.

His knee is buggered and needs an op. From what i hear he has retired from footy now as he has a kid and business comitments, pitty as he would have to have been one of the best onballers going around a few years back when Noarlunga were strong very very good player.

I probably would have rated Tassone as the best player in the SFL a few of seasons back or at least the best rover.
