Just great to wake up on a Sunday morning and go down to the club without all the pressure of a Saturday morning.....

The kids really enjoy their footy and seeing some smiling faces down at Hackham is great! I must admit that the Lions kids were under siege there in the last qtr.... Just awesome to see them keep fighting it out till the end.... That is what both our clubs have in common.... We refuse to die!!

HOLY SH*T!!!!! Morphy's V Christies score is that a typo????

How devastating for a club to know they are that far off the mark.....must be disheartening.
Harsh but fair.....

Not sure if they had injuries or players out, but going on Saturday then Christies A grade would have to be one of the poorest teams i have ever played against. Apart from the ruckman they probably didnt have anyone over 6 foot, and not one player would have won their position. Whats going on down there?

Their Bs seemed much better, as they were even with our boys for a half but then feel away.

So is it fair to say that at this point of the year Cove will put up a good show against M/V come finals time? I guess Ando has his boys travelling nicely. What about Matt Size, there hasn't been much talk of him since about round 3, is he playing well???

Just going on a rumour that I heard..... Got told he has been seen around the club.... I actually like the Lions so it was no dig at the club itself.... Just a little dig at the bloke himself (Trust me, he deserves it) I admire Lonsdale for still sticking at it against all odds (no juniors etc.)

As for the scores at the Valley.... Happy Valley 32 goals to Hackham 2 goals.... But this was after Valleys kicked 10 in the final term... Hackham really stood up on Saturday and showed that we are not the 60 goal witches hats that we have been in the past! Some of the Valley boys were starting to lose their heads in the 3rd term when they were actually finding it difficult to score against the Hawks!

Cannot wait for next Saturday down at Krusties..... Will be very interesting to see how Hackham's juniors go.... And also to see how the seniors account for themselves against an opposition that is struggling!

Was nice to see the Hawks 6/7's kick 20.23 to zip against the Lions today though :D

I dont want to sound like too much of a knob but i saw my first day of Hackham footy against the Valleys on the weekend. What Hackham need are some "players" i was floored by the lack of general football ability just things like reading the ball and basic skills. Still great that they are having a crack. It would be daft for anyone to state that they "really stood up on Saturday".
The scary thing i also noticed was the U18s had similar issues. I guess my question is could the right person teach these kids the basics or do some people just lack the ability?

Just want to reiterate that i do apreciate the situation The Hawks are in and am not having a slag! I think its a generally valid question!

Morphett Vale are a great side and at the moment are looking good. The weekends win should be taken into context as from all reports Christies were well below par and far from around the mark. With Flagstaff, Hawks, Port Noarlunga, Morphettville Park in the next 5 weeks. The next really test will be Reynella in 6 weeks time. This will show where both teams are in the run into the finals.

Surely nothing can be gauged until the likes of Morphett Vale, Cove, Happy Valley, Reynella and Brighton meet for a second time. Is there any other team that is a realistic premiership threat?

I hadn't heard about these 2 walking out. The one I was referring to is a major part of their side when he's fit and not injured.
Apparently it's a done deal.

Have heard this also. The biggest walk out possible you'd almost say. Especially given his old mans status down there.

I heard he is Definatley training Thursday at his new domain.

Who's next?
