You no need to get personal lion heart should not be questioning Baxter.Lets just say some porties connections have informed me of your identity and i nearly fell over crying with laughter. Seriously you couldnt get a kick in a street fight.

Double standards hey smithy i didnt swear and if we are not getting personal you might as well scrub half the posts on here. Sticking up up for one of your locals hey.

Lion heart.........I have no idea who tunit is...........he also received an official warning about getting personal on this forum a few days ago...........ask him if you wish.

I will remind you and others that exposing someones identity on forums will result in banning as well.

There's the problem right there!

Think you'll find that there is a chasm of difference between where Hackham are at, and where Aldinga are at right now. The pleasing aspect for the Hawks will have a lot to do with their determination to press on.
40 goals is honestly the best they could have achieved, and they were happy to have found out they are capable of avoiding a series of Sixties. The Brighton game was right on top of the Kelly pullout and the whole club was in disarray --- hence the Sixty.
Come the next game, facing the current Cobras, and everyone was talking "world record", and that didn't happen, because the Hawks played with spirit and ddn't allow it.
Aldinga's a different situation. They lost by three points and were devastated. They are now capable of winning, but as an excellent previous poster suggested, they don't know how to win right now. For them its right to feel rotten about just missing. This hurt is the most impressive part of their footy right now. Its a sure indicator that they are truly on their way out of the wilderness.
The Hawks can only do their best and fight it out the best they can, and that's what they did, and they achieved something !

You seem to be well informed tunit- that narrows it down a bit. To be completely honest Shane has had offers that I have heard of, as any improving coach with a backbone would. Not really my place to say who or where though. Its a good thing for him to get that confidence boost of offers.

Dot as we like to call him has been playing some great football and is a top bloke. He's the one who our ol mate Meakins tried to poach after one of our home games. Yeah I'd say he'll have quite a few votes coming in already.....almost as many as harty.

Emus played Noarlunga on the weekend, one of the talking points was the whereabouts of big Shane Comer. Speaking to some of the Shoe boys after the game and apparently Comer just took off for the weekend, without telling the coaches or players, or anyone at the club. You'd have to imagine this bloke is on a fair bit of $$$ down there (as each offseason he's rumoured to be leaving for his body weight in ca$h) any Noarlunga posters out there: what do you think of Comer, hows he been going this year, and is he likely to be sticking around?

Baxter's played League footy ---- that says it all.
You put in the work, you get the rewards.
How does that saying go ? ------ the winners can sing and laugh, the losers can please themselves.

I will give you some credit UNIT at least you had the balls to admit it. Yep lions struggling big time with a truckload of injuries and it is a struggle to fill 2 teams at the moment. The lions best/worst performances are poles apart and when we do have our best cattle on the park we can play good footy. Unfortunately its only getting worse two more went down saturday with serious injuries.

He'll be sticking around, but just by watching him, you can tell the passion isn't there as much anymore. He still gets the job done and quite effectively at that too.

They are also after Mckenzie from the vikings, if Baxter can get a league game there they may aswell play the Morphetvale b grade at south...

tunit you wish you half the player Baxter is.He was one of the best footballers in the southern league last year. Im the first to admit south arent the best team going around but he has been performing very well in the reserves so you cant say he hasnt earned his spot. The guy has great hands, huge leap, massive heart and a big engine (right up there in the pre season runs for 2 consecutive years) so why not give him a crack?

Tunit, further to you being a wanker and not keen on seeing players from clubs not as powerful as morphetvale get up into the league catergory. Baxter is again named to play this week. Ill be there on sunday cheering him on!

also tunit, your full of sh**T about Milo, as if he will give league footy another shot. He would have to train too hard + he always has niggling injuries. Hopefully he continues to star in the SFL with his mates earning a little bit of coin. I would like to see him play league footy again, but it just wouldnt happen and there would be no point for him to play ressies this late in the year.

Actually Flyer i have heard that Milo will be giving South another crack. initially said no but due to the league's coach persistance has been swayed to have another go. Surely if after 4-5 rounds it doesnt look like he will crack the 1's then he would head back to Reynella for finals....?

can anyone confirm that this is the case?

Yeah Swooper I now have heard simmilar. Good on him for giving it a go if it's true. I reckon he would come back to reynella if he doesn't crack the league this year. It is late in the season though thats why im surprised, next year could be his year after a good preseason with no injuries??

I think his main problem will be how his body holds up with the quicker pace, should be fine at Ressies but the step up to league may be a bit tough on his body.

I think you will find that Milo will only play for South when Reynella have easier games and they are keen to do the same with some others in the SFL and having an open door to locals into the club
