Guarantee you'll see a magnificent side in action. Saw them for the first time at the Valley last year and was immediately converted.
Absolutely sensational to watch --- pity they play in a far off League.
Love to see them in battle with Willunga.

Interesting you said that lofty wanted to play willunga in a trial but willunga turned them down so they went to the next best in that league strathalbyn.

It wasnt that they turned them down as such, it was more like they had already sorted out theyre trials previous to the offer..Would be a fantastic game either way!

Correct Asert, this pre-season will be a different not playing the same sides but the messenger cup (21st March) game threw our plans out by having to play Cove. We still planned to play Pt Noarlunga aswell but they had already committed our only free date to playing Mclaren so we are now playing Happy Valley underlights on the Friday 13th March. (which is a good idea considering our first game is underlights this season).

Will come down for the finals in 2 weeks time. Seems like a good concept and is allowing for match fitness to build whilst still doing the hard yards of a preseason. Lofty and Shocs to win this evening for me!

Starts at 8.

get down and have a look. SHOCs putting in another very inexperienced line up, just giving everyone a run to see how the look. Mt Lofty were way to good and well drilled for us last week, we have a long way to go but hopefully we can consolidate our spot in div 1 this season.

Good to see a good competition tonight in both games.
Golden goal after a 31 point draw at the end of the SHOCS and Happy Valley game went to SHOCS after a few attempts.
Better viewing than last week as both teams really came to play with hardness and plenty of run.

Lofty were scared in the first half by a hard running Flinders Park. Credit to those boys as they really put up a good fight. 2nd half saw Lofty just sneak away with abit more run and carry of the ball to come away with the win..

Makes for an even better 3rd week next week, looking forward to it.
Wish i could slip on the boots and play, great night out!

Good Game(s) Review Gooch112
For those of you who weren't there, SHOC's got over HVFC according to the scoreboard by a point but the umpires crossed their flags and the game was actually a draw. SHOC's scored the only goal in the 5 man per side kick off from the junction of the 40metre arc and the boundary. Awesome kick i tell you what.

The Second game was quick again, very quick. FPFC has MLFC on the ropes for the first half but the first 10 minutes of the second half were all Lofty's and that proved to be the winner for them.

I tell you what i can get enough of this footy! Its a great spectacle on a Friday Night with 4 great teams battling out! Congrats to HVFC for thinking of everything to make this such a great competition! Good food, Great Atmosphere all over great job.

And a fabulous gesture by HVFC to donate all taking at the gate to the bushfire appeal. I saw many many people donating $20 per person with heaps of others pitching in $5 and $10's!

See you all there next week!

those 2 quotes in bold make me laugh... are you guys sure you were at the same game.... yes Flinders went into half time up by 8 points.. but with the 4 goal breeze that was blowing out you would have thought they should have been up by more... from what i was watching Lofty had control for all of the game.... and ran away with it when it counted....

Agreed..thats what i meant by that they got a scare.
Just that Flinders wanted the ball more and created a few more opportunities.
Lofty for mine to win the cup for sure though!
