Wouldn't have thought he'd be in a position to make that call just yet, only recently appointed & all... would have to sit down with the crew & discuss where they need the most improvement... that is probably everywhere in light of recent results.

LOL 2Old2Slow welcome to the SFL thread, 2 SFL posts and 2 laughs from CT! Firstly coz of the comment about Daniel looking infinitely older than his brother (i had written but deleted something similar when asking the question which one was coaching) and now dealing with the needlessly hostile mrf. Looking forward to post number 3...!

Firstly i hardly think it was a hostile quote. Well and truly retired so not worried about a spot. Just curios, would love to see marion become a force again. Are you involved at any way with marion 2Old2slow?

Yeah sorry mrf, might have been a bit quick on the front foot there... just filling in time on a Friday arvo at work, thought i'd stir ya pot! No harm done heh... but initially "so called" players sounded like a bit of a jibe to me, play on!

Not involved with the Rams fella, am a mate of the Exelby boys & currently involved at Ironbank where Machuka (Daniel) has been playing/coaching for the last 4-5 yrs...

The rumour regarding Brett would be exactly that i'm afraid... he retired from playing with Renmark end of last year with a bad hip injury that wouldn't come right, damn shame as he was dominating that league like he did with Marion & Min/Man prior... perhaps the year off may have helped but who knows, right now Brutus would have the old pvvrrttt ppvvrrtttt nervous farts cracking as his boys line up against the Ricciuto inspired Waikerie in the Riverland GF tomorrow.

Oh yeah & cheers for the kind words CT, first time i have received any from a MPFC man... even if only typed haha!

bring it on I say - c'mon Matty! Ex reynella junior, it would be great to see him back where it all started. Following Moore's lead this would be great for the club.. I would say he would know moorey well form their glenelg days! it would be good for the competition too.

Was having a beer with Dave at the Medal count and he was keen to keep going.Think he would be pretty disappointed if he was given the flick.Cant comment on his coaching ability but not a bad bloke to have a beer with and a chat
If the only reason you play is for a beer with your mates after the game, your playing for the wrong reasons !!

Just got off the phone with him and he has quit due to not thinking the comittee was 100% behind him which he says is not a favourable enviroment to be in therefore he quit. Not good for the club!!!

I never rated Evans much but I don't think Reynella did the right thing by him. The committee needs to pull their finger out. That was not well handled. I know this sort of thing happens from time to time - contracts don't seem to mean much when push comes to shove - but I still think it's dishonourable. Best of luck to Dave in the future.
