I think they'll need some magic not to finish bottom. This will be providided by the Hackham Wizards. You are joking right?

Nah i am being serious mate, they look the goods this year mate trust me they wont be finishing near the bottom. Hackham will finishh bottom followed by aldinga.

Nah not being biased mate just seen them on the track, they look like they have made a massive improvement and lets be honest have one of the best coaches around. With a few extra numbers and a couple of key position players they should be a more competitive side. When i watched them train they had a good 40 to 50 blokes there on the track and they also looked very fit which they have never had before. So there is a chance that they will be a very competitive side well we hope anyway

From memory they played against West Croydon, and kicked more goals then what they did in the entire season last year. Even though West Croydon didnt have a very good side the signs we very impressive they had alot of big men which from memory they didnt have last year, they seemed to have alot of ball winners and a bit of pace. Hopefully this year they be competitive cause we all want the comptetion to be competitive instead of blow outs every game. :D :D

Morphies Magic, even with the supposed slide of some of the middle range teams ie Noarlunga and Christies Beach, I still think you are underestimating what it will take to bring a side from second bottom to the top 8 in the SFL.

The constant improvement in some of the other sides, whether it be through recruits or development of juniors, always makes it hard to make that next step, and it doesnt happen overnight.

Lets hope for Morphie Parks sake and for the eveness of the competition that the Roos can make that next step, but from my side of the fence, I think it may be a while off yet.

As much as I would love to see the Roos up the top end of the ladder I can’t see it happening this year. They will defiantly be better than last year but so will a lot of other clubs. There first game should be a good one against OSB/Lonsdale, from what we have been told OSB are struggling for numbers but they do have a few quality players still. If the Roos are going to improve this will be the test. From what I have seen of them they will be more competitive than previous years. If they can get back in front of Aldinga and take it up to Flaggies, Christies, Noarlunga, and Marion they will be doing well. The top 4 or 5 are still way ahead of any of the other clubs. Let’s just hope they can be more competitive with them as well.

No idea who the bloke is, depends on when he played for Kilburn to see how good he is......

Interesting to see my good mate from OSB/Lons Daniel Loveridge an ommision this year. Very underated through the league imo, he will be a big loss for the Lions. Whats the story there Hills?? Ill have to give him a call,it's been a while.

I reckon he played for Kilburn, but if it's the same schultz i'm thinking of, he played for Hectorville last year. Maybe kilburn before that. Missed a final last year cos he got locked up the night before the game. Goes alright when he's focused

What makes you think you have one of the best coaches going around (assuming it is still Peter Meuret) Yes he did win a flag with Morphie Parks years ago (back in the early 90"s) with a gun side. Since then he has been fired by Plympton, West Adelaide Under 17's where his side were regularly getting beaten by 150+ points and was then fired by Bridgewater. Since he has returned to Morphie Parks the only sie they can beat is Hackham and maybe Aldinga.
Good luck to Morphie Parks (with Meuret coaching you's will need it) if they have any success this season it will be all to do with the players and nothing to do with Meuret.

One to put in the list for improvers will be Aldinga. Not much banter from them lately actually gone very quiet but they have been impressive in early trials and have quietly pick up some quallity players.
If they internally keep it together they may surprise.

Ive heard the same things Observer. Aldinga quietly going about there business and will improve this year and leap into the next bracket of teams which is great for the comp to see these bottom sides improving and rising. Aldinga are confident of making the 8, how much damage they do in it this year not sure but it would make it a lot easier to recruit players if they were enjoying a degree of success rather than getting pumped every week as they were 2-3 years ago.

Morphett Vale the team to beat or the Wineflies with there recruits?
