Have noticed on Happy Valley's website that they are also off to the Loxton footy carnival. Seems to me like a lot of footy before the season proper. Going to make for a long season...

Due to a black out the first game of 20/20 was called off as they couldn't put the lights on. Not sure if the second game even went ahead but I don't think it did! Unfortunate start to the carnival as their were plenty of people down there to watch the games.

looks like there was an accident where someone ran into a power box, the shopping centre was closed due to no power

Can't understand why it's poor, you can't help it if the power does not work.I mean if the power goes out at Waverly people can't see red if it does not work at Happy Valley.Did all the cars get a refund? Why didnt all the cars around the ground turn their head lights on

mt lofty will probably go into the 20/20 games with a weak squad with many lads still not training due to cricket, and most likely wont get selected

It was a very unfortunate incident, but to be honest I don't even think half the crowd even realized there was no football on!!! They were all happy to just be out of the house on a nice day knocking back a few cans!!!

I saw the first half of the Edwardstown v Reynella game. I really enjoyed the the first half and was impressed by both teams skills, disappointing that the loss of power ended the night early.

Is the Reynella v Edwardstown half time score going to count as a win to the townies?

Leg Rope wrote:Reynella Mail I heard Dan Threadgold won't play in 2008, knee recon.
The players I spoke too appeared to be real positive about the recruits and the fitness sessions with Butcher.
Will be interesting to see if Comer does line up for Edwardstown in the 20/20, apparently he is yet to sign with them.

Your mail is correct leg rope Dan wont be playing this year or maybe the next, he snapped 3 ligaments in his knee and has had 3 recons on it since october.

Each team will get 1 point for Friday night

I heard a rumour they have picked up another 6 players. Allthough none have trained. be good to see when there trials are. they may not be a premiership threat but at least the SFL is beoming more comepetitive.

Does anyone on here know if they have any trials organised?

Hackham have recruited 18 new players to the club.
Spending a few bucks, good luck to em.
My sources also tell me Moore played for Reynella Mex.

Surprised to hear Moore played, thanks for the up to the minute reporting on that one LR, will at last be able to get some sleep tonight knowing that one... Seeing as you obviously hang off every one of my postings i'm sure you already know that i picked Reynella to win the comp and would be quite surprised if they didn't go all the way, my sources tell me that Towns were doing it well in the first half "into the breeze" i might add, does that count as more poor postings from this seedy Mexican...??
