Getting good numbers out on the track?

Was speaking with a few of the lads on the weekend CT. They are getting very good numbers on the track with plenty of new faces. There is a bit of a murmer from the old faithful with concerns on how much some of the new recruits are getting paid. Apparently the bank fund is buldging at the seams. I guess these new boys will have a fair bit of pressure on them to perform and will come under a lot of scrutiny if they don't.

Saw them training down at the Bay on Monday and there looked like there was about 50 blokes out there!!! Not sure if the Under 18's were out there as well with them or something. They looked pretty sharp and should have a pretty good year in 2008.

Reynella Mail I heard Dan Threadgold won't play in 2008, knee recon.
The players I spoke too appeared to be real positive about the recruits and the fitness sessions with Butcher.
Will be interesting to see if Comer does line up for Edwardstown in the 20/20, apparently he is yet to sign with them.

Not sure if there is meant to be a double meaning in there (if so i dont get it).

And no ZC i dont think you were told you were wrong I think the issue was that you were saying everyone else was wrong even tho they were just stating their view. For my part i think mid feb is probably a little too early for competitive footy but nevertheless good luck to the teams involved and hope its a good night.

No double meaning just using an analogy.

Haven't seen Lofty play but reading on the country footy threads they are a well respected outfit. Will be interesting to see how they go.

Feel free to belt each other round boys.

I think that these clubs will play their up and comers with a minor sprinkling of seasoned campaigners, 4 games you may see the majority of most squads, couldn't see the likes of Butcher/Moore playing. I think Reynella will take it quite seriously and will be quite surprised if they don't come away with a win overall... I see this as an opportunity for Reynella to break their GF hoodoo and put them on the front foot going into the season proper.

I'll be there, but I'm glad to be on the other side of the fence. Febuary is a bit too early for playing footy.
