I hear the younger Rigney has been selected from the Aboriginal State comp to represent SA against Vic? Could he be emerging from Trev's shadow? Time will tell i guess..

Well seeing as he was playing B grade before he left for Jervois, im sure Sullies wouldnt offer him coin. If they did, it would probably be one of their sillier decisions.

Im sure Sullies will be hunting down Trev Rigney though.

Both of them are 100% staying at Jervois. Sullies couldn't match half of what Jervois are paying both of them, so no chance of them going back. Not this year at least.

Don't know where you get your facts from Junior but you are wrong. I will let Hills elaborate if he wants to.

Hills is in Melb at the moment, so I don't think he'll be elaborating any time soon, care to disprove my theory yourself?
Your not gonna tell me Jervois don't pay their players are you? Hasn't that been done..

Jez may be on less with Richards leaving but i doubt he'd travel that far for shit all.

Trust me it's probably not much. Jez enjoys playing with the team, including his brother and doesn't play up there for the money. So far too he has put in a pretty good preseason and to me seesm like he's ready for a good year. Congrats has also got to go out to him for making the under 25's State Aboriginal team. Shows his hardwork is paying off.

I'll agree that he seems to enjoy it up there but don't sit there and tell me money wasn't a factor (normally the decisive one in most cases) when he went to Jervois and it may not be as big a factor this year but none the less still a factor...jervois would want to hope he's already signed or he may want to up his pay packet on the back of his selection!

Then again, there wouldn't be any money left after they pay their new ruckman..

Jez has already signed and will take the experience from playing State into next season, no doubt he will be telling everybody on here soon that he will be a shoe in for the Mail medal..
Again, from what I hear he got paid last year and this year, it's definitely not enough to solely travel and hour and a bit to play footy! If you look through his past posts, he points that out and says that he loves it there and while they keep winning premierships has no reason to leave.
The ruckman on the other hand...pure mercenary!!!

Lets be careful rember this cash thing that everybody has a whinge about is a result of the points system's leagues are bringing in. and players are gonna go for large amounts of money after all it does make the world go round! im not saying whats right or wrong but its gonna happen. And before you have a crack at me i have played and recieved money but ive also played for nothoing and handed money back so i do understand both sides of this story.

sorry just sick of all the cash talk on these forums!

I really don't care about people playing for money, obviously it's part of the game but it's when people say stupid shit like "money was not a factor" when a person goes to another club for whatever reason and gets MORE money there then they were at their previous club! May not have been the main reason but it's certainly a good incentive.
