Is that a Rocky 3/ Hulk Hogan reference Big Red Delicious? Good form! However in a fight id back in Ivan Drago of Rocky IV over Clubber Lang of Rocky III.

But back to the SFL, can anyone tell me if Matty Despott is still running around for the Shoes? Also I heard the Shoe's Brett Hudson might pull the pin due to a horror injury he copped last season?

I agree with you Fudd, your chances of getting Andrew Bachmann away from Christies are very slim, even with the $400 a game you guys are offering him.....

SUPER LEAGUE?
Given the interest in the battle of the leauges with willuga v morphett vale, is there room for thought of creating a SUPER LEAUGE from the SFL & GSFL.Working along the lines of the English premier league with 2 divisions , so at the moment we have 26 teams, with the premier league having the top 5 from each league & the other 16 teams making up the feeder league.Premier league 18 rounds play each other twice top five finals, bottom 2 get relegated , than the feeder league 15 rounds play each other once top eight finals, top 2 get elevated.
I am aware there would be many hurdles, many traditionalist, and many questions to be answered but if we all are trying to lift the standard of our great game surely this could be the answer.
Also it would be great for South Adelaide as im sure as the standard lifts in the local games more and more players will be representing the Panthers with such strong local competitions .
I believe the SUPER LEAGUE concept should not be taken lightly we could seriously challenge for the best comp outside the pro's
any thoughts? If only Kerry Packer was still alive......

Good news, hopefully with a bit of work on the decision making he will cement a wing in the league side. Blistering pace like that is rare.

Is there a side out there that can knock Morphies off there perch in 08?

throw him in the guts, pace wise you dont see Chris Judd on a wing.
And no i am not comparing him to Judd but what a great link up player he would be through the middle.

Looks like Reynella will be having a huge crack at knocking Morphies off their perch this year! Will be interesting to see how they go with their new recruits. Does anyone know who they are playing in their trial matches, if they have been organised yet?

And anyone have any more news on the proposed Morphies vs Willunga trial?

Those that are available i think will be playing, especially in the first week at Noarlunga. Being a trial not sure that you will see blood and guts though. I stuffed up the dates, our second trial against Willunga is after easter then each game after that is a week later.
