Every club poaches players, yet if players are happy where they are, they won't move on.
Are we refering here 2 Baylis?
He obviously wasn't happy at E B & He's decided the grass is greener at Jervois.
No-one likes losing players Footy Mad,but thats footy champ.

Absolutly right Footymagic , if a player was happy where he was then their would be no reason for him to move on . As you stated on other forum footymad things change with people , partners get sick of the club , travelling or players do , money offered is more or other reasons , i have known players to go to another club just because they like the coach their . As long as a player is honest with all parties and not doing back door deals then all should be good , just a part of footy now , loyalty doesnt exist anymore .

Loyalty still does exist.... Just ask the Morphett Vale boys. Sure they are in a successful side but they are not the only team that are loyal, they are just the best examples. Most clubs would have at least half of their side from their junior ranks i reckon. To me thats pretty loyal.

I stand corrected Dingo , most local lads do have loyalty , some go off to league clubs and after that try to return for money to their local side . I have a bit of an issue with some of them asking for the big bucks . Its a fine balance between losing locals and looking after them .

Not a lot of players that played juniors at Morphies are playing elsewhere for money certainly only a couple that would come back and actually make the A's eg. Hodge, Ewer and the Wilson boys.

Chucks would be interested in what morphies do to keep their locals at the club , i know the success is their but it must go deeper than that , without a good incentive scheme or game awards you would think that some of them may go else where .

Honestly i think its just a good club atmosphere, good social events, no factions within the club like some other SFL clubs (won't name names you know who you are) and just everyone happy to do the hard yards for each other.

Think it has a lot to do with the juniors that are coming through the ranks see the fun to be had and work that little bit harder to break into a senior team that puts the pressure on the older blokes there to keep playing there best and be as fit as possible.

Reynella have done it again. Forked out some big coin and electrical appliances and have picked up Ben Moore. Still trying to purchase a flag. Well done though its a big pick up and may fill some holes of those players that have already left.

thats almost a compliment rock!

yeah that's awesome if true about moore. It will be good if he brings his brother aswell..

about the mass exodus everyone expected, well that just hasnt seemed to happed, has it? i know its early, but it seems only 2 x players will leave reynella. sitters who has played at a few different clubs and rocket (who is a reynella man) the side will miss sitters for sure, but clubs loose players all the time.

you would have to think it's a beat up wouldnt you, all this talk through last season about people not happy etc. as stated before I dont truly know , because I'm not there behind the scenes. but a beat up you'd have to think it was....

theyd have to be a chance next year , cove aswell. it may not be as easy as everyone thinks it will be for MV.

Sounds like Reynella is the highest paying club in the SFL? And thats not taking electrical appliances into account!
Makes you wonder how all the loyal underpaid players are feeling about the influx of big signings and the incentives being thrown around...
Looking back was Butcher worth the investment last year? Lets hope Moorey does the job for them, or else it will be more backward steps for the flys!

From Our "Know It All" Mexican tool the other week......

"Heard late last week that Reynella have definately missed out on Moore, looks likely to play at PHOS next year is my mail, by all reports they threw just about everything at him and it wasn't enough, even the club sponsor Teac plasma was part of the deal. "

Thanks for the reliable misleading information Gringo!
