Can anyone find out if the league entered into a long term contract with South Adelaide? This might put an end to our wishful thinking!

Contract...?
What else are they gonna use the oval for this time of year, their Finals Footy ?
I don't think they're turning away other sporting associations who want the facilities either.
Also don't give the league any ideas on how to lock us in to something we don't want. It's not the MCG guy and SAFC would only be anoyed for loosing our GF because i'ts the biggest crowd they get there all year.

Dutchy, i am not a part of the committee and i hope (as do a large number of others) that the case is closed. In my mind (my personal view) we lost to Brighton last Sunday, they were better than us, no excuses and noone to blame other than ourselves. If Brighton had done something wrong in the eyes of the SFL and offerred a spot in the GF by basing last weeks match as void, well Im not going to protest. Of course i would suit up for saturday, name one person who wouldnt?
The prospect of being involved in the GF was exciting, like a second chance on the one we let slip, but I do not know all the important details nor do i want too anymore. There are too many versions and i just hope now want to enjoy two of our teams contesting flags, and watch the A grade match that i think we should have been in ... if we were to be good enough when it counted (which we were not, full credit to Brighton)!

Fair call Phanto but there is a lot of speculation and rumour floating around the SFL....not just on here but within the clubs as well about how and what Reynella have done in the wake of Sunday's loss. I dont think anyone is having a go at any Reynella players but if even 50% of the stuff that is being said is true then I think the reputation and image of the Reynella Football Club is going to be tarnished for sometime.

The way they qualified three players was a disgrace for a football club

smith played many games this year (when he was home) and butcher played after he was cleared - whats wrong with that?? can't cooment on broadbent cause i'm not aware of that. smith has played heaps of games for the club!

forever is along time Observer - slightly dramatic don't you think?

Surely u blokes have had enough of attacking Reynella and are more interested in the GF tomorrow.
Its what we play for, i know i dont play footy to have continual stabs at the opposition, no matter what theyve done.
I ran into Simper this morning and hes pumped for the game tomorrow. Draw ur attention to that rather than squabble away at Reynella!

Good call BJ. I think the "I hate reynella" thing has been done to death. Saw a coupke of morphie blokes this morning and there keen as as well. one has played in all 3 GF's and one is playing in his first. Both just counting down the minutes till game time.

Should be an absolute cracker. 25 degrees, not much wind (for SAFC) great weather for two great sides to show what theyve got. Thats what we should be talking about.

Unfortunately the one regular poster that supports Brighton has gone quiet. Is this deliberate Dogs? So you can say "i told you so" if the bombers get up?

The general feeling is that Morphies talls will test the Brighton backline, but it should be good to watch in the middle.

Think Messenger have done a good job in promoting the game. Only saw Southern Times though.

If he does you would think Smith can take care of him. Smithy has been in good form.

Who does everyone like for BOG? Bayly's are an obvious choice. I might go for Bode.

If he got best against Brighton last time he could be one Francis trys to keep quiet. I think the Bombers might have a weakness in ruck. Young Bode will jump all over Stewart. I noticed the Cobra got best for the Bombers last week though.

Bode is a great tip i may second that he was fantastic last week shows great ability for a 17 year old against bigger bodies. Jumped all over Porties ruckmen last week and dominated around the ground took some big pack marks. Best in the first final and 3rd in the prelim think he will back that up tomorrow. Surely a higher calling is waiting for him next season? To much talent wasting away in the SFL.

And King best for Brighton he'll give it all, all day.

Big crowd at least 2000 ..... South wish they could get those sort of numbers to their games !

The argument for letting cars in wouldnt work as their is no possible way that everyone would have fit in the ground. First in best dressed i spose it would add to the atmosphere but the grandstand, hill and both wings were packed so that would only leave room for behind the goals.

Emus too strong again especially in the big man department but i felt a few umpiring decisions went against the bombers at crucial times. Two goals disallowed from very ordinary decisions.

Whos going to stop Emu's for 5 in a row and beyond?
