SFL BOTTOM 6 - WHERE TO NOW

Noarlunga - Top in under 16s and have got u/18s for the first time in many years and have had a year of cleaning out money hungry over rated footballers, is well coached with Ratsy Irvine who will improve this lot.

Christies Beach - Dont seem to be improving, have good numbers in fielding a
C- grade team and all junior grades but all are mid range, need 4-6 key players to boost depth

Flagstaff Hill - need to retain Ian Cox for at least another year who is blooding the younger guys well, good junior stocks and can see 2008 for them to move up the ranks

Aldinga - most improved side for 2007, have stopped the thrashings and need to recruit a few and get junior development up and running in a growing area.

Morphie Park and Hackham - cant see any joy for these teams, first objective to stop thrashings and get competetive - hate to say this but probably good for SFL comp if they dont survive and go to a 12 team comp.

thats my opinion what do you guys think

Looking at what the Aldinag boys were saying pre-season on this forum and what thay were saying to "potential" clubs I am very surprised. that Aldinga aren't playing finals. They did ask for coin as a package, much much more than any A1,2,3,4,5,6 would pay. Did Aldinga improve yes, but were (or are) they worth it? Time will tell if they stick around and are prepared for the club to attract better players and reap future rewards. I will be interested in the fun and agressive banter. PS Hosey is in love with ya!

Almost all have signed back on for next year, most for less money to enable more recruits. No need for bullshit, we are looking ok for next year tiger. Ask yourself did your team improve (without cheque book) on 2006 results.

Going by the new rules for clearances they are all 1 point players too :)

Fact - we beat a team that finished above us on the ladder in 2006, did you?

People here bag Hackham and Aldinga for getting flogged every week (past and present) and bag them for trying to improve the club....

Can they win with some of you people?

A lot of you whinge about the league being one sided and then have a go at them for trying to get good players to the club.........jeez get real and make up your mind.

It looks like it going in the right direction, keep up the good work sharks. The long road gets shorter and shorter each year when you are heading in the right direction

Important to remember that the committee etc probably haven't been on this site, you can't even be sure if someone on here bags you and says they are from Aldinga really is. People like to stir shit but we are trying to reverse a culture of losing and all the baggage that goes with that.
Today will be our toughest game of the year from mind. 50 / 50 I'd say. I'm sure they'll have a full strength side this week.

I really can't stand people that go on about players coming and going next year at this stage of the season. These people don't think before they write something,it is 7 1/2 months before round 1 next year and most footballers would change their minds 20 times before the time round 1 comes around.95 % of this garbage never occurs and people that jump the gun thinking they are Mike Sheehan have no idea.Get of your high horses and enjoy the finals.........

Noarlunga the better team all day and Irvine certainly has improved this team from the start of the year. Both teams had players missing but no excuse the best team on the day won.
Lions will have to take a tougher road this week against Brighton after dropping to eighth.

Is it true that manhood had his third send off for the year which will mean suspension for this week? Not the sort of discipline you want from your captain and best player on the eve of finals. Bergman also injured who has been in their best quite a bit lately.Porties should still have too much firepower.

Forget all the lop sided scores and uneven SFL comp this could be as good a final series that we have had for years

Happy Valley seem to be growing in confidence that this is there year but i think the Emus will get over the line in a close one

Cove havent had much said about them lately and have arguably the best forward line in the comp and Winies know how to win finals I might tip an upset for most and pick Cove to win this week

Brighton too good for lions and could still cause a big upset in two weeks time

Porties over Marion and could upset anyone when there playing well

Just wondering who was playing this week at Aldinga in the frst final?
You have to be happy with that the surface down at Shark Park and facilities are looking pretty spot on. One of the best ovals in the comp at the moment I'd say.

looking at those match ups the margins will be pretty tight the only one that might blow out may be Brighton over the Lions but I think it would still be under 6 goals should be a belter of a weekend!

As mentioned, in an above post.

Can anyone give any insight int M.Vales performance on the weekend. Did they take it easy ? Did they rest players? or did they just struggle against an up and coming team?
