yeah he is fitting in really well with all the players. he realises where the club is at and wants to help succeed which is a 5 year plan not an overnight one, and he wants to help make it happen. will be good to see him in action this weekend when we take on townies! its going to be a very tough game but both clubs have never seen eachother and the game will start 0-0 after all.

Thats the spirit HH, every game involves 2 teams & a footy. If you guys want to win more than the other team there is always a chance ;)

Any reason for holding up the clearances of the Cooper boys to Willunga?

Maybe since they left it so late the people at the club that deal with that have more important stuff to do to make sure we're set for the season.

Oh well, guess if they dont have the minute it takes to sign and fax a form thats ok. Theres 2 weeks after Saturday to get it done! Cost these boys a game of footy this weekend, desired result?

Mate its cost us a lot more. We had a team planned out including Liam and Doz and all the other boys from McLaren but because Liam doesnt want to play for us they all follow like sheep. After the trial match our prez asked Doz if he wanted to stay with us and he said, and i quote "Ill have to ask Liam."

So they set Dennis back about 5 weeks. Why should our clubs people rush to get them cleared when they stuffed us around. I was talking to some of the hierachy at hackham last night and they said that if they came to them as soon as they knew they didnt wanna play here they would have been cleared straight away. Now that theres other stuff thats more important to our club that needs to be done they can go to the bottom of the pile..

Rightly so in my opinion...they shouldve shown us respect instead of just stopping rocking up at training without contacting anyone.

Might seem a bit harsh but thats my opinion.

this could have been helped if the boys had of just said we will come out and train a few times and see what we think of the club and then will go from there. that is footy though and we all have to go on with our business now.

Cant ask a question Roo without u showing ur musical talents?

I dont know what happened at Hackham and im not sure why they signed the papers if they werent committed. I know Dorians best mates all play at Willunga. If they were all following Liam wouldnt they all be with us now?

We move on, play this weekend and hope they are available after the Easter Break.

Best of luck for the weekend and the rest of the year.

mate when your A grade team has 8-10 highly needed players sign for you, set the team and game plan to incorporate them and then have them all leave 2 weeks before the season without a word to anyone at the club, ill ask you if it really matters...of course it does.

Yeah sorry about that BJ, personally I think that the only reason that a club should be able to hold back a clearance is for financial reasons. Obviously this isn't the case here. Maybe Denis is a little peeved at getting the run-around from Liam, have to admit he isn't the most reliable at the best of times, tends to go missing when the going gets tough.

Well techiniquely they are unfinancial but we arent trying to keep them on that. Now that would be wrong. But why rush for them so they can get what they want after stuffing us around. If you ran a club like that you'd get walked over by everybody. Its not like we dont have enough to worry about without that.

On a more better note Kym Evans has been named captain for the 2009 season with Matt Payne as his deputy. hoping to get another big solid year out of the 2 boys. :D
