Very ebb and flow, Lions kicked the first 5, got pegged back to about 8 goals each one stage through the second quarter, then Lonsdale stayed a handy margin in front for most of the day. Flaggies are screaming out for a couple of good sized defenders, As K McIntyre tore em apart as there was no-one to match his strength.

B Grade was interesting, counted at least 3 Lions blokes being sent off at different stages through the game. Also have NEVER heard so many players on the field from one team (Lonsdale) appeal for that many holding the ball decisions in my life. Was worse than being at a crows game! A good win in the finish to flaggies who did the right thing for club legend Wade Stone in his 300th game.

Maybe the Lions B graders were looking for a free ride from the Umpires like the one Flaggies A Grade got to keep them in the game, the scoreboard flattered them.

Talking to a few of the guys from christies last night. I think the loss on the weeknd has sealed meekins fate.
Seeing the shape that he left morphie parks in, it might be a wise move for them to get rid of him.
Christies made the finals the year before he took over and in 2 years since they havent improved and quite a few blokes have left because of him.....

I heard that Christies were his second choice that year anyway a friend at MVale said that he tried to get a role as an assistant there but a couple of the older players that remembered what he is like put the foot down and said if he came they would go! needless to say they stayed!

Just heard from a mates dad that watchs the Bay weekly said that this new Butcher guy for Reynella can play anywhere, Tall, good skills and good Hands said that he should do very well at SFL level time will tell though if so then it seems that they may have done well to get him so late.

How Reynella got on to Butcher in such a short period of time is cedit to their recruiting skills. I know that my club had him on the agenda for next year, but we were a bit too slow. When he left the Bay, it was reported that the remining 8 SANFL teams had a crack at him which suggests he can play. Dont know how close Reynella gets to MV but a guy like Butcher could be the key!

The race is well and truly on for leading goal kicker this year between Pollard (96) & Milo (94), Reynella and Morphies have similar runs home so any thoughts on who will win.

Correct mail Chuckles... For once... Meekins was sniffing around big time in the 2005 finals series with a vision to becoming an assistant to Pottsy and Hilly, after some negative feedback from current players the decision was made to not offer him a role and head hunt David Earl who has worked out well... His attempt to jump on the band wagon failed... Lucky for the Emu's... My mail is that he will certainly not be coaching the Saints in 08...

I should be playing full forward every week, A. Biglands goal of the year for Aldinga v's Brighton on sat....
Well done - altho if this was your first game at FF and it was against brighton i would be a touch suspicious that the coach was actually trying to hide you from the footy.

But well done - just a shame we can't vote for you for most influential player.
not my first game there just hadn't kicked any goals harty kept kicking them over my head when the ball comes down, he just can't kick any as classy as mine is all, i know the small girth would have loved it....
one of your five for the day well done 20% of your ordinary sides score you must be proud so proud
You do an awful lot of typing for someone with nothing to say Fly and how many flags have Reynella won in the last 20 years? O thats right less than Aldinga!! Dont mouth off about clubs when your own club has fallen short on more than one occasion ok!
Zeleny calm down I am entitled to my opinion and I will have a go at who I see fit to have a go at and Aldinga are very ordinary and I would not gloat about 2nd division flags.Get even close to DIV 1 one, and we at Reynella may take you seriously until then to us you are a waste of a Satuday afternoon, full of overweight hasbeens who think very highly of themselves but at the end of the day are just a bottom 4 side and that is where they are as much as you guys can't stand it wake up and smell the roses boys. While we are on it Justincredible is a wanker.

I don't know where you get off on the whole div 2 crap Aldinga were winning premierships before Reynella were even in the league. History's a proud thing and for you to get off on how good it all is you should have some respect for the clubs that were at the forefront of getting these leagues together. Reynella are a great club but no need bad mouthing others when your premiership stance is something like 9 losses and 3 wins and Aldingas is about 9 wins to one loss.
To be proud of your club doesn't mean you can bad mouth others.

hope you read Rodneys post fly cause im pretty sure if you wanna compare the two clubs Aldinga have a stronger history than Reynella as for you being entitled to your opinion that is true doesnt mean its a valid opinion!! In 10 years time when they talk about who was winning flags people will remember Morphies not Reynella or Aldinga so 2nd or 14th doesnt really matter! and of course Justin Credibles a wanker your not really breaking any new ground there!

just for the record fly:
reynella 17 goals vs aldinga 10 goals
not bad for an ordinary side on the way up, but i guess you blokes have to talk yaselves up against aldinga coz yaz have always got your head between your legs when yaz play morphett vale.
id rather be in a side of overweight hasbeens that have a good time, than be in a side full of knobjockeys & overwieght wankers such as yaself

Hey Fly

I'm pretty sure that coming second means that you lost!

It has been 30 odd years since you guys won anything, so theres no need to bad mouth other clubs, maybe you could take a look at the happens at Oval rd.
