He kicked 6 for the match.......4 in the first half from recollection...

Still a forward sometimes can only be as good as the blokes feeding him. 6 from a spearhead is regulation almost expected. The onballers where the difference, as you said Hot dogs you had some handy ones out that fateful day in 2004 and MVFC had a full strength group.

On another point- Brighton are in some trouble this week, I reckon Reynella at full strength by 6 goals.

No not coming round - In good weather they would be in real trouble, it's only in a slog in the wet any side can get lucky. Except maybe a bottom 4 side.

We mite be coming around a little but I dont think 07 is brightons year. A small threat they may be. but as long as morphies and reynella and cove take them seriously they are going to fall short.
With a full list and a couple of recruits I can see 08 being more of a threatening year for the bombers. there list is pretty young isnt it.

Maybe Bradshaw is one of those , wasn't on the list of the 8 SFL blokes picked. There wasn't anyone from Morphett Vale either. So maybe some from there?

From the list of who was selected on a previous post, i would guess maybe port noarlunga, morphies and reynella players may be in the mix none of them are in the selections. I had heard rumours that the league wouldnt do it this year.

They wont go through with it as it involves a few precious clubs an d they have people in the right places. Ian Brown of Port Noarlunga definetly picked The scapegoat for last year Travis tedmanson is unavailable because of work committments

by the sounds of it they wont go through with it because it involves every club. and that would just be too much hard work for the lazy SFL delegates.
Doesnt sound like too many players are taking it seriously at all. Is there anypoint if your sending a half assed side with 6-7 of the SFL's top players not playing!!!!!!

**BREAKING NEWS**

Been busy the last couple minutes chasing up the hottest story of the day.. The facts are this:

The Bayly boys have been asked to work on the weekend hence they are not available for the District game, they notified the league last night and have since been told if they play this week they will not play the next 2 weekends (1 v Hackham and 1 v H.Valley)... How can the league possibly take over these guys lives by demanding they either play for the District side ahead of work or face a 2 week suspension... This ruling by the almighty league will force the two brothers not to play this week all because they are busy at work and need to complete a job... Now they will miss a game of footy (B&F votes, goals etc etc) not to mention payments (not that the Emu's pay a lot but still it needs to be a consideration).. This is Bullsh*t and i will be looking forward to hearing who the other 4 blokes are and from what clubs, i'm sure we will find out tomorrow on a posting... Other players who signalled there intentions a week or so ago that they couldn't play (some from the Emus) are cleared to play, no penalty... Where is the consistency...??

Any thoughts..??

If a player cant play for the Assoc / district (for any reason) then i think the league are within their rights to invoke a penalty if the player then turns out to play for their club the same weekend they were chosen for for assoc.

In this case if the Bayly brothers cannot play assoc due to work then they should not be able to play for M/Vale either. They should not however cop any further suspension. League cant control peoples lives and force them to play in the country if they dont want to.

Does anyone know why the SFL is invovled in a country championship, I would have thought that SFL would be regarded as a metro comp, it is in this forum anyway{regional metro}. Are there any other metro leagues in SA apart from SAAFL.

Mole and Swooper, how many "Tradies" do you know that work a full saturday..?? They would work for 4-5 hours in the morning and rock up to footy about 1ish to play... If the "District" game was played locally i'm sure they would play, because it is in Port Pirie and involves the weekend it makes it impossible to play...

My argument is at this level how can playing association rule over your work commitments in relation to having a kick with your local club..??
