No offence Navy2005 but are you related to Zelezny Chucks. Hes the only other person on this forum that brings up issues that have already been discussed 10 pages previous. It's more than likely that you just hadnt read that far back. which is fair enough..... I wonder what Zeleznys excuse is.

No offence taken your absolutely right. The reason I probably bring up issues already discussed is that I am posted in Sydney and just like to keep in touch with footy back home so my viewing of this forum is irregular to say the least. I apologise if that is annoying for you Lova. Have no idea who Zeleny Chucks is either

Explanation definately accepted. My commment although written to you navy was a backhanded way of having a dig at the pointless and incipid posts of zelezny. I am glod you took no offence and am glad you are keeping an interest in the SFL all the way from Sydney.

Numbers - 3 goals to nil down does that warrant a good start?....Just cos they fought back to lead at qtr time doesn't mean they started well...

In my view it does! If you come back before 1/4 time, the games in the balance and theres still plenty of time to play! I'm sure that if Cove kick 3 in row (as they did), Morphett Vale wouldn't have used that as an excuse.

You got no idea mate. Where was that an excuse fair sure we said or slow starts against these sides are costing us in the long term of a match it isnt helping our cause. We gave them a 3 goal start missed probally 2 or more easy goals/gettable goals but still went in with a small lead. People just ride everyone one off when they lose a couple of games just a mob of bandwagon riders.

That doesn't make sense mate! "Where was that an excuse fair sure we said or slow starts" what is that meant to mean. Saying that it costs you in the long term of a game is an excuse, the reason you lost is that you didn't score as manying goals as the oposition over 4 quarters. (Not just 1)
Also you might find that people don't ride them off they write them off!

OK true that made utter no sense after I read it and no different way that you say it it's going to sound as an excuse. And well we will continue to be "Written Off" until we prove that we can match it consistently with the best Good point our club does have a long way to go to be taken as a serious threat but I still think we can put in a good crack at it.

i don't think cove will reach the grandy this year too soft you can see why reynella and morphies beat them as soon as you get physical they whinge like girls. they loved telling us how good they are but didn't like us reminding them of their 13 goal loss the previous week.

No real surprises on the weekend probably the biggest shock was that noarlunga didnt beat hackham by around the 40 goal margin. They copped a fair spray at half time then went out and only kicked 1 or 2 in the third. The weather didnt help but not the result they were hoping for. Also in the b grade one of the hackham players got cleaned up with a fair bump but seemed to hit his head pretty hard on the ground. The trainers spent a fair bit of time getting him in a neck brace and on the streacher before sending him off to hospital. Just wondering if anyone knows if the lads ok?

Wouldn't have thought the supporters bagging their own players seemed correct, so i'll have to agree with you Buff, didn't see the game personally but as long as i've been watching the Emu's play there seems to be a great relationship between not only players but supporters as well, maybe a little encouragement was given in gest, to liven things up a bit, i'm sure it wouldn't have been dinkum...

Well mexican, i was there and it was my first emus game i have been to in 5 years and my last.
If buffhead was standing near the clubrooms, he would of heard the abuse, front running fwits, being told that they were embarresing the club and themselvs, and more. 10 morphies supporters in morphies gear all yelling it.
The players also heard it. Also wondering why pollard played, I know his major goal this year is to kick 100 goals, but you would of thought that he would make sure he was right first. Played half the game and then didnt play the second half. Did he do the same injury?

Still finding it hard to believe was there anyone else there who witnessed the abuse...?? Were you at the game Lova..?? I'm led to believe that Pollard is fine and will play this week, unrelated injury and he was right going ino the game..

Didn’t actually see the Morphies game on the weekend but refuse to believe that their own supporters would be abusing and booing their own team (especially at half time of a still winnable game). Morphies had about 10-15 players out so I would think the supporters would realise that with a lot of kids and untried players out there + horrible conditions that this was going to be a lot closer game then what generally happens when Morphies play anyone outside top 4.

Was anyone else there that can back this statement up? Seems a bit far fetched that supporters of the reigning 3 time premiers and currently only undefeated A grade team would be feeling like their side are letting them down.

I was at the game mexican but was sitting in my car (due to the bad weather). So unfortuantely didnt hear the alleged abuse. But the area that "get a kick" was explaining and if they were wearing morphies gear It sounds like the MOB and they wouldnt abuse players (unless in jest). they are past players and surely know that abusing and being abused results in nothing. Even if they were frustrated (I know I was) I couldnt see these guys abusing. but I wasnt there and didnt hear it so thats just my opinion.
