Cove07 a bloke got sent off when they were 30 goals up for hitting a bloke in the guts, not sure his name or number but it was a pretty clear example of poor discipline. Have heard rumours that it is not his only send off this year and might be some tribunal action for him.

I got nothing to do with them cove 07........I'm just a neutral supporter my son - in - law plays for Happy Valle and my daughters husband has mates at cove so i go watch a bit with him. I'm just really impressed with them, I think they have come a long way over the sumer....However I can't dispute the undisciplened acts........May very well b right

Not disputing they are undisciplined but just wondering who the players were having not seen them play for a few years. If you are still having players being sent off when you are 30 goals up, there is problems there.

How does White (no. 7 I think) go discpline wise. Saw him play in a trial game and is was a very impressive footballer but heard he gets sent off a fair bit.

What was the score when the game got called off?
I played for the Shoes C grade for 50 games and nothing like that ever looked like happening although when I was finishing Cove were only starting in C grade and they did have a few biker types playing for them.

For those who know Old Noarlunga Oval, what happened was a Shoes player ran in late and clobbered a kid from Cove in the back of the head in a marking contest. Unfortunately the incident happened right up against the clubroom boundary line/players from everywhere ran in/players pushed into the crowd....you can figure out the rest.

I saw one of the strangest things ever at the same place last year in a C Grade game against us. At half-time the teams stayed on the ground and we could hear raised voices coming from the Noarlunga huddle...suddenly a brawl erupted between two players (I am led to believe that one of them was the coach) which carried on for a few moments before they were separated. The other player moved away from the huddle took his jumper off and threw it on the ground whilst calling the coach all the names he could lay his hands on. He then stormed off the ground and into the changerooms only to emerge a couple of minutes later hurling more abuse at the coach. He wandered off into the carpark outer area where he continued to spray the coach and his teammates for the rest of the game.

I woulodn't read too much into it Wedgie...if that had happened at any suburban ground the same result would have occurred. You only need one or two cementheads to get the ball rolling,I don't think it reflects on Noarlunga FC per se.

when noarlunga were paying their players heaps starting 2000 they POACHED players from 'ackham Mal Lee and Jody Tassone to name a couple plus the likes of Dion Hibberd from morphy paaaarrks kieren mcintyre from lonsdale plus a few others from other clubs. I remember them being shithouse in '99 to very nearly winning the flag in 2000 losing to marion and going top in 2001, and while on marion look at them now RATSHIT bloody towny scums!! get out of our league!!

Back to the shoes, guys involved with the club were adamant that they werent paying blokes big bucks but i know for a fact that hibberd was offered $150 a game (huge money for morphettville park) and he knocked it back. Rumor has it that marty clifton was on $400 a game
