My buttons are far from pushed and the correct tense is played for morphies.

I think you will find that although not at a very high level Trevor Potts played a fair amount of games in his playing days. Certainly has a good idea of the game. Not sure if the same can be said of you just yet.

You have a good idea of whats happening at emu land Im Surprised we havent crossed paths.
Or maybe you get some of those opinions from other spectators….. just didnt know that RMFL spectators knew that much about the SFL.

Not sure if antagnoise is the word, maybe plant the seed would be more accurate, which i have clearly done as indicated by your replies...

I've seen an even share of SFL, RMFL and SAAFL games this year. Its good to see other styles of play and close results. Maybe you should get out more now your playing days are over? Also get plenty of feedback about things on and off the ground, most of which is posted on this website.

So your an ex player? Is that your credentials for having a good knowledge of the game? How many games did you rack up? Win any flags? Captain any sides?
I get feedback about matters on and off the ground also. The standard of footy in the RMFL must be a better spectacle these days over the SFL. I havent heard many reports or posts of any one wearing bright orange clothes and wooden shoes at any SFL games recently. maybe youve been dragged to more RMFL games than you think.

As for my playing credentials lets just say that by your own addmittance it was alot more successful than your football career.
but success aside I know theres always a beer to be had at my local footy club on a thursday night with the current players. Do you have a club that you have a beer at or arent you allowed out of the house on a thursday night?

Im sure everyone has had enough of hearing us discuss our careers anyway dutchman! Feel free to PM me any more of your "seeds" so we can stop clogging up this forum and talk about footy again. either that or we can continue the discussion in the RMFL forum so you can have the "home ground advantage".

Jono - you say cove will benifet form White, Hare, Padroth & Heath returning.
Hare - Was dropped for the Morpett Vale game.
White - Was dropped a few weeks ago, didnt even train with the A grade squad for the Morphett Vale Game. And had played Bs most of the year and had no impact on the 2 or 3 A Grade games he played.
Padroth - Has not played all year. S. Gill is currently the number one ruckman and D. Graham his back up - Graham was also included iun the Assoc. squad.
Heath - Class act, need him fit in the first 18.
I thin that was just about coves best 21 apart form heath.

Sorry Jono Id have to agree here I doubt that Padroth will walk into the A's I think he'd have to prove that he has turned his discipline around in the B's first. Heath will be a big in having his best year back there just injuries altough Whitey was in the best in the 2's he may be returning to form after a serious injury. There is still plenty of improvement in our side wouldnt say we were at our best still some quality Ressy that could easily come up and fill some areas.
So who would be the top three ruckmen in the Sothern League these days??? Is Mark Size from Pt Noarlunga one of them???
Panther32 I think you will find you might mean Matthew Size who is at Flagstaff Hill and doesnt rate very high at all.
Best ruckman are probably Short, Gill & Comer - all been around for a while

Can anyone tell me who was picked in the association side this year and how did the SFL fare against the opposition?

Only saw the First half but it seemed that our B's were just that bit more hard at it. It was still close in the first half couple of goals in it then last quarter they must had just kicked away.

A few of the "Ressies" should be playing ones. To many players living on reputation in that team at the moment.

No offence Navy2005 but are you related to Zelezny Chucks. Hes the only other person on this forum that brings up issues that have already been discussed 10 pages previous. It's more than likely that you just hadnt read that far back. which is fair enough..... I wonder what Zeleznys excuse is.

On the Ball,

Who are the players that are playing on reputation? A few weeks back, Cove were going alright and after one loss blokes are being bagged. Still need to remember that it is only July, don't win to many flags this time of the year.

Cove wont win the flag at the business end of the season either. They are flat track bullies and when the better sides put them under pressure, they fold like origami. As witnessed by their games against Reynella and Morphett Vale.

Dont want to say the names.

But if you were at the game Sat. you would know. Midfield was smashed, all but Vick who can hold his head high. Gill tried hard to.

Forwards struggled. Weederman, Bennett and Taylor were ok.

Backs really strugled Plattern tried hard.

I wont write Cove off just yet. That loss could be the turning point for the season. As you said they were pretty much smashed all over the ground and probably had 2-3 winners out of 21. I would imagine that a few players who were getting ahead of themselves might start taking this season alot more serious now and i would expect a much closer game should those 2 sides meet again.

Only thing is that M/vale were missing Earle, & Pollard who are 2 key players for them (altho Tom Carroll at FF was an adequate replacement)

Cove play reynella again soon i think. That result should tell us whether Cove and their new coach can be considered a true GF threat or just very good frontrunners.

Big tests this week for a few teams both lonsdale and christies have won a few in a row against middle to lower ranked teams in the last few weeks but this week lions have emus at away and saints have bombers away, very tough ask for both of them i reckon lions to get within 10-15goals at very best and christies to push brighton and get within 5 goals but stranger things have happen with saints beatin them by a point last year at brighton, any thoughts?

Love the talk about "The Roth". Padroth a good bloke off the field and a very good tap ruckman but greatest case of white line fever ever!! What has been wrong with him throughout the year- obviously injured. if fit he will expect to go straight back into A grade- probably without training!!

If thats excepted and allowed to happen, Cove will struggle when it comes to playing the well drilled sides.

Not saying he's not a good bloke, don't know him. But if they allow that to happen it could up set a few people and thats not what you need going into finals. You need to be a well drilled team not a side of excellent players.

Speeky McGee have you seen Cove play the two games that your are talking about or are you just going by results alone? I think we showed that we can take both sides on and match them. We didnt have the best starts in either game but fought back in both to take back the lead. We seem to just have small lapses every now and then which is enough for these sides to take their chance. Erase these and you may find that we can go further then you think then again it wouldn't bother us to much about your thoughts.
