Surely there are some quality Under 21s running around in the league. Albanese and Heatley been going very well for Flaggies. Minns and Thompson from Reynella very good also. Even number 13 from Christies his name escapes me but he is Saints best midfielder

Frisby smith Valleys been very good all year looking at voting, Lonsdale have a young bloke with a hideous top knot who goes alright.
Onballer/wingman for Morphie Park with a bit of pace looks good no 27 I think.

Why would they select a squad of 70? Would be a tough process selecting a side from that number. Young fella from Lonsdale is only 16, probably not ready for that type of standard either.

Ha ha ha i like this post. Was always gonnabe a big ? for whoever took.ovwr Paul Crate who had done a fabulous job with Christies. Paul.is such a people person and a passionate person and i must say the replacement is the complete opposite. Surely they wouldnt be happy with Saturdays result getting smashed by a half strength Flaggies side. No Raitt, Carey, Vandermeer, Edwards, Kearsley, Hollis and a couple others. The average winning margin in the SFL this season is 73 points, with the biggest margin 239 points.
GSFL average winning margin is 33 points this season, with the biggest margin being 73 points.

Given that most games are very competitive in the GSFL compared to the SFL, how much does that hinder our lads chances in the Association game?

No comments on yesterday's round of games?? I suppose most games went as expected. One that surprised me was HV and Cove. I thought Cove might have the edge (I've seen them but not HV), therefore I was surprised at the big HV winning margin of 75 points.

Anyone who saw the game care to provide a commentary?

I didn't see the game but we played Cove round 4 and they looked good and had a crack . That said I was surprised with the result last week v Lonsdale and then v Valley ,so I looked at who did and didn't play against the Shoe , Against Valley on the w/end they played 15 of the 21 that played us and against Lonsdale 16 of the 21 .

I don't know if that means anything at all because we could of been crap

Coach's game plan didnt hold up in juniors and wont in seniors, perhaps there are reasons for the huge amount of clubs he has been to in a small period of time

Game plan held up for undefeated minor rounds with HV 2 years in a row but just came up against some very good Brighton teams on GF day that were suited to the vast expanses of Hickinbotham. Easy to say a coach was outcoached but more often its simply the players being outplayed.

Agree DTH - Brighton play with a mixed group most of the year in 16's and 18's due to school and SANFL duties, but their finals side with College/SANFL kids back was a very ,very, good side who I thought had a similar game plan. Think if those 2 u/18 sides played each other 10 times in a G/F it would be 5-5.

Believe 2 or 3 of the Brighton lads are now on a AFL list.

Hearing Gianni will pick "players in form" not players by name - which may be a little different to previous years.
Still think were up against it though, as the GSFL depth across clubs is pretty good, maybe they have bigger brown paper bag$ in GSFL
