Congratulations to JC. He's earned his stripes and I think he will be a very good senior coach. Wish him the best of luck and hope he gets the club behind him.

Interesting to see if any young lads from Flaggies and the Vikings may be tempted to join JC for a re-build at Cove. Could make for an interesting off-season between the 3 clubs.

Still hiding behind the keyboard with your grudge against JC- MF??

5 Years of sub junior coaching.
3 years of u/16 and u/18 coaching - getting HVFC to the GF each year!.
Association assistant junior coach.
Dingas A grade runner also in 2012 premiership year.
SFL junior coach of the year / South Australian (all junior leagues) junior coach of the year.

Seems like a pretty good service to the HVFC to me??
He probably coached your kid MF!!

Have heard nothing but praise from FHFC on his efforts IN 2015 also, players/staff loved him and although disappointed about him leaving- understand his drive to become an A grade coach and wish him all the best going forward is my mail.

I look forward to seeing the Cove model in 2016 - suggest they will take the game on, play an exciting brand of footy, not the one on one kick it down the line stuff that some clubs dish up, and hang in games for as long as they can against the top 3-4 sides IMO. He is very good at developing kids and young men into good footballers and has a strong belief in his game style and systems. Good luck to him, all the better for the SFL competition.

MF- who doesn't like a beer at the footy? should be careful what you post and not throw stones, as Stringer, Dinga, and now BC love a beer - the only coach that didn't love a beer you guys sacked within 8 weeks last year!! wrong culture I suspect!!

I dont have a grudge against Justin and it looks like an impressive record - why wouldnt he have been appointed as senior coach then?

He was senior coach of Plympton Footy Club a few years ago and got sacked half way through the year. Plympton went on to win the flag.

I'm sure Cove are hoping then that he has learned from any mistakes he had made in the past. He has alot of experience across a few grades and worked with some great coaches so i cant see why he wouldnt be better suited this time around. Just hope Cove are patient for once and dont get an itchy trigger finger when things dont happen straight away. Time will tell.

So you are happy to support the panel in not appointing JC, but also happy to bag them for appointing Keam. I think a season at the "family club" may have also smoothed out any rough edges.

JC was good junior coach and coached my lad at one stage.
Hope he has learnt a thing or 2 over the last year about difference between being coach and a mate.
No doubt there will be some players who he coached that will be tempted to join him especially the ones who think they have been overlooked not walking from 18s straight into the A grade.
But if I had the choice of being coached by BC or JC I know who I think I would learn the most from.

Think the caretaker coach for the end of 2015 agreed with JC's opinion - He played - Fox ,Penny, Smelt, Curyer to name a few that should of been playing A grade for most of year as the 18/19 year olds are the future IMO.

Not sure the big push for BC, had to be talked/ convinced into coaching next year and has had minimal success at M/vale in 4 years with good lists, time will tell. Would be interested to hear from some Emu people on their thoughts.
