Will he bring some Kooka players with him? From memory didnt Mosar from Hackham play there this season?

Yeah I reckon he did, I'm too tired to go check the clearances list though. :) Be a handy pickup for us if he came!!

All the best to Shane for the next 3 years, he did a good job coaching the Bs at Kenilworth this year and getting them into the elimination final especially about half way through the year it was looking like they wouldnt be playing finals.

What is the club like - hahaha words fail me, you'd need to come down and see for yourself. :) It's a special place.

Fielded As, Bs and Cs this year and I think all junior sides as well. For next year I doubt they'd have another C grade - there was a bit of dissension over that. Juniors were impressive this year and will only get better.

As for your other questions, I reckon Shane's better equipped to answer them than I am, but I reckon our expectations are pretty straightforward at this point: recruiting would be first priority. Shane has said that he will bring players. I haven't heard any names yet. But he has brought players to our club in the past, and to everywhere else he's coached that I'm aware of, so I'm keeping an eye on the clearances list with interest. Sharks are in dire need of another ruckman, and some more key defenders would be welcomed - the SFL has more giant forwards than I've ever seen in the SAAFL or the Hills league put together. The main thing, though, is to get players to come and pull on the boots every week, rain or shine. This year there were only eight or nine blokes, out of about 60, who played more than 10 A Grade games. That about sums things up in my opinion.

Hey Fisho and the rest of the Aldinga crew,

Any idea how Shane Lynch is going with players, would think they have to act quickly these days.. i wonder if they have any more money to spend next season, you would think local business' would be warming to the club by now...?

Have they been able to hang on to their few top line players? the lad who played association football etc (name escapes me sorry  ) surely he would have offers coming in or will his loyalty see him stay..?

I hope they can get some players and get back to at least where they were in 2010 with some wins on the board and respect in the comp...

Going well recruiting from reports I have. Local business's have been coming on board but the big improvment in 2012 was unity between the mini's, U14,16,18, B and A grades. A few past players such as Rob Van Gasteren have stepped up off field involvement due to having son's in the mini's . Off field should have all spots coverecommittee wise before the Agm and more adding to it. Good mix of junior parents and ex players. A lot of our U18's were first year so should see them improve. Tyler would be a big loss and we'd love him to stay but understand his situation.
