Big day at Morphett Vale oval tomorrow. Pink day for breast cancer, with the Emu A grade wearing a pink jumper with the black sash.
Should also be a good game against Noarlunga, these two clubs always seem to have a close game regardless of their positions on the ladder.

Surely the $hoes are just taking the piss now and pissing themselves laughing at the SFL.
Were given a special extra allowance of points because of apparent mass amount of player outs, start winning a few games and now everyone is jumping back on board miraculously . Schutz and peach come back out of retirement and tasker and now despott transfer back in, who's next? Golding surely!

Looks like in the A grade 5 teams have created a bit of a break on the rest in a tight comp. FH v HV derby in 2 weeks looks like a critical game.

Wondering where Edwardstown are at with Under 18 team.. Notice they have forfeited the last two weeks.... Is this as a result of the spoilt brats (adults) walking out and starting their own club a few years ago??

I'm sure it hasn't helped things but with mid season injuries, exams and u/18 national championships the drain to SANFL clubs would be at its greatest about now.

Sporting Pulse suggests $hoes played with 8 points against the Emus on Saturday. 4 points under the normal allocation that the club would have received from their finishing position in 2013 and 9 points under the 2014 points allocation for losing about 20 players that played A Grade in 2013. Surely people are not concerned that 2 players that had left the club decided the grass is not always greener and came home and that 2 guys over the age of 35 coming out of retirement might be a threat. Peach played in the B Grade against Morphett Vale on Saturday and stood either Gaskin or Short at different times. Looked to me like 3 greats of their respective clubs having a bit of fun and helping kids develop while they still can, Tasker (0 point player)did not play but Schuts and Despott (0 point players and both life members at the $hoe) did.

Seen $$hoeS beat emus on weekend ..tell you what very well drilled and oiled side.. Did notice that there were a lot of juniors playing in there side which is great for the club..caudle changed the game in the last half won the game for them.. What's all the moaning about shoes extra points for my eyes tell me they have made hay why the sun shines..credit to them have built a good side with juniors and a couple of recruits ..whingers are only envious a scared of confronting the shoe express.....

Sides finishing 1-6 in 2013 receive 12 points and the rest 15!
This season the Shoes received 5 extra points (as did others) after a review from the SFL.

Yes, saw that result fior the U14's, which is a great effort by Flaggie. Looking forward to the local derby as should be good footy right through the grades.
Our A grade is playing very inconsistent footy at the moment, so could be a very interesting day.

A huge pat on the back to Simon Robinson his army of helpers on Saturday. Possibly one of the best days ive had at Emu Park, for PINK DAY. The only blemish (for an emu supporter) was that Noarlunga were just too good on the day, getting the chocolates in the main game. Word is that over $12000 was raised throughout the day for Breast Cancer research, which is a phenomenal effort. Over $1700 of that was raised to see Emu star Tim Howell shave off his beloved Dreadlocks, with another $7K being raised with the auctioning of the PINK guernseys. Also like to say well done to Booga Schutz, who I believe played his 350th game on the weekend. Great effort. All in all, a great day of suburban footy.

Fantastic Crowd saw a good game and raised a tidy sum for a great cause , well done MVFC , thats local footy at its best putting the result aside

DTH I and am sure others are more interested in the conversation you and VICS must of had over the weekend?? Are you deflecting criticism towards the Shoe after your draw on the wend?

SB We all know the Shoes jumped through the hole in the fence created last year by the SFL in granting extra points last season, all though that appears to have fallen flat this season for that club.. High priced recruits are not rebuilding..

As to Saturday DTH and I did not get to chat about the draw as he was was required for afternoon tea DTH at the 1st XVIII battle for no points.

Ah, those glorified interschool scratch matches that are seen as so vital to a school's future marketing that they would refuse promising young footballers the opportunity to play league football.

I hear Brighton Black are planning to do well in SAAS this year, it is concerning that one club be allowed to affiliate with two separate competitions however.

Reynella would be quite happy at the moment, ticking along nicely in the background undefeated with not a whole lot of talk about them.

Porties bounced back on the weekend, was it just a bad day for them last week?

Battle for top 4 outside of Reynella looks like it will come down to Noarlunga, Porties, MV, HV and Flaggies.
