Were given a special extra allowance of points because of apparent mass amount of player outs, start winning a few games and now everyone is jumping back on board miraculously . Schutz and peach come back out of retirement and tasker and now despott transfer back in, who's next? Golding surely!
Christies and Porties play today I think you will find. In their local derby

Well done to the Flaggies 14's rolling Reynella for the first time yesterday.

The only blemish (for an emu supporter) was that Noarlunga were just too good on the day, getting the chocolates in the main game. Word is that over $12000 was raised throughout the day for Breast Cancer research, which is a phenomenal effort. Over $1700 of that was raised to see Emu star Tim Howell shave off his beloved Dreadlocks, with another $7K being raised with the auctioning of the PINK guernseys. Also like to say well done to Booga Schutz, who I believe played his 350th game on the weekend. Great effort. All in all, a great day of suburban footy.

Fantastic work to achieve 12K for a charity. Well done Emus.

You know I like you guys but the return of a few players and at least one out of retirement back playing A grade makes this extra points situation a bit on the nose. What's done is done but the SFL has dug itself a big hole for when applications for extra points are made in the future from other clubs. Some would say your last flag was won with "blood on your hands" with about a third of your team poached from Hackham. Could a flag this year have a similar hollow feel to it. You have a star junior player who played 8 A grade games as a 17 year old last year but is back playing U18 at the moment and dominating. I thought it was players like him that you got the extra points for to help bring in some experience around.

SHOE BOY
The extra points within the SFL is nothing new and the smell of envy and ignorance are well and truly here.
The work the football club has executed to manage a loss of players from season 2013 has been outstanding and should be applauded. We haven't sat on our arse and said its all to hard!!!! We looked outside the square with seeds that where planted 12 months prior and now are reaping the rewards with tireless work of members of the NFC. (AND ALL WITHIN RULES AND GUIDLINES OF THE SFL) That said you just have to view results of our B grade side that has struggled to repeat the results of 2013 where they sat 2nd for most of the season, THIS IS CALLED DEPTH. and when you loose 20 + players its called lack of depth.
Now Young Troy has played 4 A grade games to date and has been injured over a 2 week period also not withstanding form. We have also had Gibb/Godfrey/Hogarth/C Johnson/Ross all play A grade this year that are still juniors or played juniors last year.
Now DTH in stead of negativity towards the Shoe how about some praise for being reactive and positive.
DTH I and am sure others are more interested in the conversation you and VICS must of had over the weekend?? Are you deflecting criticism towards the Shoe after your draw on the wend?

SB We all know the Shoes jumped through the hole in the fence created last year by the SFL in granting extra points last season, all though that appears to have fallen flat this season for that club.. High priced recruits are not rebuilding..
As to Saturday DTH and I did not get to chat about the draw as he was was required for afternoon tea DTH at the 1st XVIII battle for no points.

Surely people are not concerned that 2 players that had left the club decided the grass is not always greener and came home and that 2 guys over the age of 35 coming out of retirement might be a threat. Peach played in the B Grade against Morphett Vale on Saturday and stood either Gaskin or Short at different times. Looked to me like 3 greats of their respective clubs having a bit of fun and helping kids develop while they still can, Tasker (0 point player)did not play but Schuts and Despott (0 point players and both life members at the $hoe) did.
No taking the piss at all Peteo, so don’t let it get you down.
Sides finishing 1-6 in 2013 receive 12 points and the rest 15!
This season the Shoes received 5 extra points (as did others) after a review from the SFL.
