That was something I noticed when I first came to the club in '06 - that most of the people running it didn't have a football background, and I did think it was a big factor in the club's lack of success. But I've never met a better bunch of people, and they're the reason why we've stuck around. And I think that the ones in charge this year are doing a terrific job. I don't know very much about how the club is run, or where the money goes, etc. etc. but I think our main issue is our inability to hold on to players for more than a couple of years. Before you start winning games consistently you've got to be able to play as a team, which is a fairly difficult task with such a huge player turnover each year.

There are great people in the club but that doesnt make them great footy people bad leadership starts at the top club officials and coach if there is a good culture players will stay the right players need to be recruited

The only way i think they can keep their recruited players is go hard for all the guys that played juniors at the club but are now playing for Willunga, Myponga and Mclaren Vale. They will be 0 pointers and there are a lot of good players playing there that did play juniors at the Sharks...

It would be awesome to watch him play in a decent side he'd be pretty close to unstoppable. One of the best pack mark players I've seen.

Not as bad as I thought it was gunna be. Had a lot more of the ball in the last quarter but couldn't convert. One big problem is that for about 2/3 of the teams we play, there's already the expectation that we're not going to win. It breeds bad attitudes but it's been going on for that long, and it doesn't seem to matter how much talent we've got at any time. I don't know how you overturn a culture of losing that's been present for years. ](*,) (Sorry - feeling a bit defeated tonight)

Not since '09, although I think he was still a sponsor for a while. Last I heard he was at Kenilworth as an assistant coach.
