Enough of the downsides of the league talk, and lets focus on some possible cracker A grade games coming up this saturday.

Morphett Vale at emu park vs. Happy Valley, valleys normally put in a massive effort vs. the emus, pushed them both times last year

Brighton at bomberland vs. Pt. Noarlunga, Brighton going well and the heavily talked down cockles are playing decent football at the mo, still have plenty of quality players even after the aparant minor player exodus.

Reynella at wineys vs. Cove, Sluggish start to year by reynella but starting to hit form the last couple of games against the undefeated cobras who are yet to face up to a real premiership contender this season and will be cracking to see how they go.

Christies at bice vs. The shoes, Must win for both clubs, seem evenly matched should be a great game.

Flaggy Hill at bushpig park vs. Morphettville Pk., From flaggies results they look like they are really struggling and underacheiving could be a golden oppurtunity for the roos.

Then There is
Marion at ram park vs. Aldinga, Aldinga will think they are half a chance, but will get done by 15 goals, and then say that is competitive!

And Lonsdale at lion park have the Bye (Man the hawks are struggling)

well said petoe!!!! we can only talk crap about the league and the way that it is for so long without repeating shit thats already been said.

But as Eddy would say "what a big week it is going to be in SFL footy."
Petoe has hit the nail on the head.
For me the biggest question of the round is How good are Cove? and althought the winies started slow I think this game will be a cracker and answer alot of questions.
As well as MV vs HV and BDOS vs PtN. that could be the top six clubs all playing against eachother this week.
At the completion of this round I think that the real premiership contenders will be revealed.
I know Ill be getting up a bit earlier to read the results in the sunday mail. Should be interesting.

Cove 10+ is a bit ambitious im not saying Reynella will win but im sure the lack of competition so far might shock the Cobras a bit when the wineys put up a fight

Just as a passer by - interesting comments yet again about the SFL - the Top sides are decent which never seems to get any air play - we talk about how the bottom clubs are struggling - which they are, but lets be fair to at least a couple of them.

Christies trying to get themelves up once again - will take a few years and Flaggies also doing the same thing.

Talking to the Flaggies crew the other day when Christies knocked them off in a close one - the last 4 weeks they have played 16 first and second players i(17-19 year old kids) in their side - could you imagine the Top sides how they would struggle in the same predicament. Give them a chance - their kids will be men soon and they will keep on improving albeit it may look like they are going backwards.

The other clubs are also trying to get their junior grades going which is the only way yhat they will survice.

Just remember that 5 years ago Morphett Vale and Cove were getting smashed by 20 goals on a regular occurence.

The Noarlunga and Marion boys will remember these salad days as would Brighton.

So sometimes the wheel can turn and pretty quickly.

Look for the Vikings to put up a better fight then what they have against the other big sides. Looks like they've got a few players back (dizzy raymond being one of them) and they always seem to lift against the emus. Hopefully Beeching & Mckenzie will lineup on each other at some stage.

Reynella will give Cove a shake i think. A 50 goal win wouldnt be the best preperation for a tough slog against the past 2 time grand finalists. Think Cove may just have too much quality but will be a cracker.

As will Porties / Brighton. Altho the Dogs will get in a huff I'm sure, i reckon Porties can cause an upset especially if its wet.

HELL even twisties / Bushpigs looks like it may even be a close one.

I'm not going to get upset.....I actually think (and hope) it will be a tight game.....and it will also be good if it is wet - that way the Cockle Divers can have their annual shower....Bring the soap boys.......

As alot of you have said this will be the closest round for a while but i thinks there will still be a few margins by over 10 goals.
Emus over H/Valley by 15 goals + Emus way to good
Bumbers over Porties buy 2 goals Hope for a draw that way they both lose
Cove to beat Reynella buy 12 goals + (first test for the cobras)
Saints over the Shoes by 3 goals (expect some fire works in this game)
F/Hill over the Roos by 10 goals (Roos to be close at half time then stop)
Marion to beat Aldinga by 11 goals (Aldinga still getting better)
lonsdale to beat smackam by 22 goals + (smackam still struggling)

Reckon the M/Vale, Valleys match will be alot closer then what some people are tipping. They have pushed Morphies (and beat them in previous years) and looking at some of their scores they have probly played better then what the scoreboard suggests. Some shocking kicking for goal hasnt helped them.

If Morphies go in expecting a 15 or so goal win then i think they will be in for a massive shock.

Jeez all you bloke must rate Morphies or think the valley are shit.
Morphies by 15-17 goals. get your hands off it.
Morphies mite win but only by a couple.
I wouldnt discount the power of the vikings.

I don't over rate m/vale i just don't think valleys are that good, half time against m/parks last week they where only about 6 goals up. If Valley's are that good they should have been in front by more than that.
