Meeting went well. Past Premiership coach Steve Keam apparently keen to help out the club, still a lot of work to do. Brad very happy to be coaching. Open and honest meeting.

SFL have sent an email out tonight to all SFL club delegates and Secretaries:

One of the League's founding member clubs, the Aldinga Football Club, is currently in the position of being unable to field A grade & B grade sides, for the 2010 season, owing to greatly reduced numbers of participating senior players.

Despite their best efforts the short fall in numbers has led them to make this regrettable decision, which will be carried unless player numbers improve
The League and the Aldinga Football Club are asking Member Clubs in supporting the Sharks with any excess players in any grades from colts to A grade.
Member Clubs can contact Danny Wilde Football Operations on 0414298782 or Brad Whyatt on 0411283274. This is an opportunity to allow your fringe players to play every week at either A grade, B grade or Under 18 level.

Timeliness is of great importance in forwarding player names, contacts to either Danny or Brad.

Not sure how the appeal will go, but it certainly doesn't hurt to try everything possible.

SB could answer this one but i do believe the shoes sent some excess players to the sharks last year due to not having a C grade.
Other clubs What have you done with your excess players,reading the forum we have emu supporters stating "will we get our players back now" shame on you GO the SHARKS

It's going to be a struggle unless people are prepared to commit every week. I think there will be a lot of kids having to step up and play A Grade this year. It'd be good if the other clubs in the league can send some of their players like that email from the SFL requested.

im under the impression players can choose wich club they want to play footy at. Clubs cant send EXCESS players to particular clubs its not there decision... Its the Players!! SHAME ON YOU for thinking this recruiter 10

Players that left the emus to go to the sharks are always welcomed back if they choose to do so, we havent gone knocking on doors putting on the pressure to return.( i think the comment was made with a bit of tongue in cheek). From recent history, im thinking they are needed a lil bit more at Aldinga.. Now thats not sticking it up you by any means but all clubs should be united in doing what they can to make sure the Sharks are filling both A's and B's this season.

Aldinga will always welcome players from anywhere and you will most likely find most of the players we picked up from other SFL clubs over the years were unhappy with one thing or another at their club. Not trying to get all political as I personally have no idea what those things happen to be. Just putting it out

Alright lads its time to back up last weeks numbers and get even more out the track down at shark park. Keeping player numbers up ensures we don't lose anymore blokes and locks in the survival of our footy club.
