They used to have a real South connection whereas they don't have that these days.....in the past players coming backk from South would go play for the Shoes even if they had home clubs as juniors....example Clifton was a hackam product..

Mate there isn't many people that aren't from Hackham down there. I think they should change there name to Noarlunga Hawks? In fact, from what i have been told from back a few years Noarlunga are the main reason why Hackham are struggling these days, half their club has gone to the shoes.

I believe when the Hawks folded a couple of years ago they struck an agreement with Noarlunga. The Hawks would 'lend' their players to Noarlunga and when the Hawks re-entered the comp, Noarlunga would not be able to refuse clearances. I think the trouble was when the Hawks re-entered, none of the players wanted to go back!! And in reality, who could blame them?

Yeah that's fair enough and i wouldn't blame them but i think it goes back a bit further than when they folded, why do you think they had to fold? Where do you think the players went?

if players left hackham to go to noarlunga you would have to look at why they left and what were the reasons for the hawks not being able to convince them to stay

they just dont seem to have the cattle this year. They lost some good footballers from last season and have had some new ones come to the club but still seem to be a bit light on. Injuries dont help esspecially when there isnt that much depth at the club. 4 u18's have already played in the A's this year and that will probablly continue to happen for the remainder of the year. Having an 18's side now will help over the next few years with hopefully the majority of the lads going on to play senior footy at the club

Can anyone confirm the rumour that the guy, i know his name but don't want to post it, who king hit the youg U18 from the Cove in the A grade match Saturday has retired????? I heard he has retired due to what he did and that if he has to hit young kids he should retire......This is a worry for the league if old guys that aren't up to it anymore and are being run around by some young U18 playing A grade are gonna belt them then leave the game. Wondr how many matches he will get.....Not that it will matter if this rumour is correct!!!!!

Was this bloke reported by the umpire or did the club put in a report? Just post the fella's name, if he can be a dog like that then he deserves to have his name revealed!

This is the SFL mate what do you expect?

The only things that will change from last year are:
1. Aldinga will win 4 or 5 games 2 x Hackham, 2 x Morphettville pk. plus 1 shock win against someone?... I'm tipping.
2. Only contenders this year will be M/Vale, Cove and Brighton.
3. Gap between Reynella, Happy Valley, Flagstaff Hill, Lonsdale have shortened and will be in the next groupings of teams.
4. Noarlunga, Pt. Noarlunga, Christies, Marion have all dropped off... for the next grouping of teams
5. Bottom will be Aldinga, M/Ville pk and Hackham respectively....

May look different at the end of the year due to the uneven draw though?
