They used to have a real South connection whereas they don't have that these days.....in the past players coming backk from South would go play for the Shoes even if they had home clubs as juniors....example Clifton was a hackam product..

Just doin some sleuthing- Lionheart, if I said "Macca 14" to you would it mean anything?

I believe when the Hawks folded a couple of years ago they struck an agreement with Noarlunga. The Hawks would 'lend' their players to Noarlunga and when the Hawks re-entered the comp, Noarlunga would not be able to refuse clearances. I think the trouble was when the Hawks re-entered, none of the players wanted to go back!! And in reality, who could blame them?

Yeah that's fair enough and i wouldn't blame them but i think it goes back a bit further than when they folded, why do you think they had to fold? Where do you think the players went?

if players left hackham to go to noarlunga you would have to look at why they left and what were the reasons for the hawks not being able to convince them to stay
