For mine - Beeching the best big man in the SFL Comp by a streak - can play in the air and on the ground and not many clubs can stop him - we all wish we had him at some stage!
Other top players in the SFL - Mackenzie - every club would luv him - tough, runs hard and rarely (if ever) is beaten. Cove's best player is a smally - Vick - I like Weiderman as well - gives a strong contest all day and looks around 6'5 - tremendous flexibility for any side. Brighton - Todd Johnstone is a superstar now - would be a great contest between him and Vick one on one - worthy of any contest in the league. Reynella - all really sound players - on his day Mceough but he has a few off ones to bring him right up there - the middletons are the wineflies go to boys - rarely play a bad one. As for the other sides all have a couple of good 'uns but have to do too much of the work themselves.
So my Top 5 would be Beeching, Mackenzie, Weiderman and I would fence sit between Vick and Johnstone but would love to watch them go at one another.
I know Mvale have many other quality players but in terms of the Top 5 - I think any club would open their cheque books up for these guys.

I'd say that Luke Weeds would be the most important player to Cove different side when hes out. Added a new bow to his arrow now hes starting to kick more goals had his 5 to half time on the weekend pity he didnt do a damn pre season could be alot better getting fitter each week tho

Very good point, but there are 2 sides to it. I know a bloke who hasnt got the most skill, but has been training at league level and his commitment to his dream is why he played his first reserves game on the weekend and even kicked the "sealer"

haha Mole i disagree .... i think the lad in question is a genuine superstar !!!
Great work ethic, great footy brain, great hands but cant bloody kick !!!
Did i mention absolute jerk ??

Ohh and Mole you forgot to mention he got Harry Miller (ex hawthorn) holding the ball before kicking the sealer!!

Not a bad list mole and i think Milo is the best player in the league. The guy struggles bad with injury but he is unstoppable when on song ... did anyone see his performance in last years finals when he single handedly won a final for reynella at noarlunga ??

Heater is a gun from cove, Mannion from porties, Mahar from Valley, Bradshaw from Wineys ....

Any truth to the rumour Tedmanson is playing for Porties this week ?? Also a couple of other South players due to the bye?? Observer we know you are out there so what is the answer??

What are guys opinions on it?

Grae is a legend. The boot is very good considering that he does it all himself. There was a good write up about him in the local paper the other week.

The Southern Boot is an amateurish embarrassment. I admire Grae for having a go but the Boot should really get 'the boot'...or at least be produced to a standard higher than a 1970's school student newsletter.

Not sure about Milo being the best player in the league. Don't get me wrong he can turn a game off his on boot but is too up and down for mine. wouldnt want him as the MVP at my club cause of his inconsistancy. up one week, down another = win one week, loss another. If your relying on a bloke to be "on song" that particular week then If they go missing in big games you tend not to get to far. A bit like Reynella in the last few years. Its all about consistency.
Beat the whites of eggs with a pinch of salt until stiff...Continue beating, gradually adding sugar, vinegar and vanilla, until of thick consistency.
Its Funny how you people think that these SFL players are "guns." Well i guess they are the best of the SFL competition and i find it very amusing how you think all these guys would play league footy, "If they had this" and "they had that"
Beeching is a very good player, but you can't tell me he could front up against Lindsay or Deluca. You are kidding yourself if you think he'd play league footy. Being part of the mighty red and black, i wouldnt call him soft though.
Players who are guns in your league couldnt crack it for a woeful South Adelaide Side several years ago. They were playing RESERVES.....
Vick, McKeough, Ramsay couldnt even get a game of 2's. Tedmanson ( currently playing reserves and someone said he's 1 of the best players in the comp??? ) Earl Prescott ( played reserves and a couple league games at the Eagles )
Brett Mannion 3 years ago was 1 of the best players in the comp and probably still is battled away for a handful of league games at south didnt he? He left cause he was playing 2's. I think this says it all...
Get your Hand off it you DH's!!!!!
Mate im not even apart of this league, but to say these blokes arent guns what ever league your from must have some very talented footballers?

Who are you comparing these blokes to?

Totally agree...we are all legends in our own underpants....especially the Mexican who has been drinking way too much tequila....

Most of the guns in the SFL are just that...guns in the SFL (althogh i'd say the SFL overall is up there in the better regional leagues)....Beeching would have no chance at SANFL level...once again Mexican.....FACT.....he is just not good enough at that level...but make no doubts he is a very handy (almost MVP) back yard bully....

This is the SFL forum isnt it?? Probably why when people are referring to players being guns of course its in relation to the league their playing in. Havent actually read anywhere on here that any player in the SFL would rip up league footy and i dont think there is a player in SFL up to that sort of standard. However i reckon there probly are 2-3 or players who could probly hold their their own at league level.

"Franky" you may think of yourself as a legend, even if it is in your own under pants, the rest of this forum i would bet may disagree... As for the tequila, you can never have too much... Unless you are a teat totler, which wouldn't surprise me...

I'd love to see SFL Versus GSFL......open age with penalty matches if you don't play...

SFL association side vs South Adelaide league side? i dont reckon. the league side would be way to fit strong and well sntructured would it? for mine the only association side that could contemplate taking on a league side would be the western border league. awesome standard of football with several ex AFL player playing every week. the ones who gave away AFL not because of age or injuries. been told its not irregular to have 5-6 recent AFL players in any one team.
