Mckenzie did go off but came back on after half time, Valleys only had 1 maybe 2 at the most out, Reynella were just to good for the over rated Happy Valley.

Flaggies ended up winning by about 15-16 goals but should have been a whole heap more due to inaccurate kicking. Aldinga have improved a bit, especially throughout the midfield. Hopefully Dingys arent paying those recruit too much, the only one to show anything was no. 8, i think his name is Talbot. Will only beat Hackam and maybe MV Park this year.
Looks like Morphett Vale and Cove are the early leaders, having said that it's a long year and i'm sure injuries will play a big part if they are not already. I like this weeks fixtures. Looking forward to petoe's odd's on the Sharks this week, they will be absolute certainty's. i'm not sure that they have won 2 games in a season since we went back to 1 division, if the scores are correct against flaggies they may win a few more this season. I'm also thinking that Brighton v The Valley will be interesting also, not sure why the were smacked by Reynella, did anyone see the game..??
Which game did you cover Gringo?

They were very undisciplined....They were a lot bigger bodied than the Bombers and I think they saw some easy targets in some younger and smaller targets.....Beeching and Jaroflowsky (or however you spell it) were typical instigators...hate to say it but Beeching in particular is a blouse and targets only those he thinks he can stand over....

Wasnt at the game so not sure if your referring to any off the ball incidents or anything like that. But Morphies are a big side this year so they'd be stupid not to play a physical brand of footy esp against smaller quicker teams and more so if they can intimidate the opposition. But i guess it can be a fine line.

Big call on Beeching. He plays hard footy but from what ive seen in the past i wouldnt say he only whats to tangle with small blokes. plus i think he probly stands over the majority of the players in the league anyway.

They are huge this year! We've got a couple of big boys and they were nothing compared with some of the morphie boys.

I'm not sure why all the clowns that write crap on here had written Reynella off so early. At full strength they are still a handy side that can play quick and exciting footy.

Saw the whole game on sat. and they were pretty awesome. Maybe starting to understand new coaches game plan and getting used to a few new players.

What are you talking about LK how could christies beat a top team if port beat them by 10 goals ?? Think about it ????

Lions thrashed, are cove that good or are Lions struggling??

Cove are the real deal and will go mighty close to beating morphies this year. I see it as a dead set gf quinella. Lions struggled with injuries but actually played reasonably well but were not good enough for the cobras. The Reavills make a lot of difference and also had quite a few new faces all around the ground ...... If they still had Bomber Ryan i would declare them certainties!!

A lot of last years a grade were playing ressies and they will also push for the flag. Full credit to them they have continued to improve every year and the they could make morphies "feel the venom" come september. One area i can see MV having an advantage is in the big man department but if Cove match them physically they could run them off their legs.

What are the flag odds for Cove Petoe ??

well the lights at marion werent as bad as i was led to believe they were actually pretty good from a spectator view point. Marions big recruit wasnt as good as i thought he would be kicked 2 goals but didnt really set the word on fire like a bloke with his credentials probably should. I didnt think the rams looked too bad either

Red hair, left footer, likes driving big cars. Never been the fittest bloke, but was very good B-grade ruckman with Reynella and also won C-grade B&F. Buy him a Southern Comfort for me.

Josh Vick always plays well i think with some good new rovers and some players taking another step hasnt had the same amount of pressure on him as he did last year still dominates most games tho

Cove are obviously going very well at the minute - a very talented side but all the talk about them playing in the GF is great for all the other sides like Brighton, Happy Valley and Reynella because they have been in the Top 4 consistently over the past 5-6 years. Last year Cove were brilliant against the lower sides but seemed to lose the plot against all the top sides as they lost their structure quickly under pressure and relied on too few who all seemed to go missing. I would think that any talk of them playing off vs Morphett Vale is very premature to say the least. Lets wait until Cove have played Brighton, HV and Reynella before you start talking them up ... at the moment Cove are the best flat track bullies in the comp - their challenge is to do this against the big boys consistently. I have seen them this year and they (Cove) aren't too bad - certainly improved in a number of areas and their discipline is 100% better. But I would think that Brighton, HV and Reynella will all come storming home as well.
