How often would it happen that no one club has one more than one flag today....

And every losing club had another grade win a flag except Cove

The latte ferals loose again. No one will loose any sleep over that. The Brighton wobbles strike again.

the only people to line the far wing at hinkinbotham!

And didn't the Red Army look spectacular? I reckon we defiantely set a new record yoday :D

Flaggies U14s played great football in their finals leading into grand final, but were beaten by a very good Valleys unit, with a couple too many talls for our lads to handle. As most are first year U14s it looks good for 2011.

Our U16s just blew Cove out of the water straight from the first bounce in the 1st qtr.
Haaaary Gebhardt's strong marking up forward was outstanding, whilst Macbeth, Channing, Wayne, little Chris Perotta, Draper and Hillier didn't put a foot wrong all day.

The Flagstaff Football Club's strong club spirit and unity was on show today for all to see. :D

Congrats to Flaggies on the 16s premiership
Valleys 14s is a gun side and only 4 of them were in last years 14s premiership team - many 1st year players too
will be good to see the bushpig/viking rivalry alive and well for years to come

There's a chance you could show a little more class in victory.

Having said that, well done to Proprietary/Risdon Lions champion Elijah Ware and all the Wineflies.

I went to my first Southern League Grand Final today & i was impressed with what i saw.
A great effort by the Reynella Wineflies to take control early in the game & never look back.
Panther you were very good in the ruck today, you gave your mids first use of the ball at all stoppages & you deserved the medal, congrats.
Was it 33 years since the last Wineflies premiership?
Even sweeter for the Team & Supporters, have a great night all at Reynella.,

Stoked to hear that the mighty Wineflies won (I played in the U13s 1984 premiership). A proud club with a long history. Lets not go another 33 years without a flag. Will be a huge (massive understatement) night at the club. Have a good one boys. =D> =D> =D>

Congrats to the SFL on a great Grand Final Day ! I've never been a fan of the idea of the GF being at Hickinbotham but I must admit I am warming to it now ... I thought the day was well run and the facilities are excellent. Well done to MPFC & the Lions for the catering.
I must admit I left early to celebrate with our boys but well done to the Wineys for finally breaking through for a win ! (have the bridesmaids dresses been put in mothballs or thrown away ?? - maybe the start of a new power era ??)
I think it's great for the league to have five different clubs win flags on Grand Final day, that's the way it should be.
Of course, I must congratulate our U16 boys on a great win - a powerful performance from a great team - U14 premiers in 2008, U16 premiers in 2010, I predict U18 premiers in 2012 !!
And our U14s were gallant in defeat, well done Valleys - but watch out for the Falcon U14's in 2011 when they are a year older and stronger, they will be awesome !

... and I'm sure everyone is very sad that Cove were the only club represented on Grand Final day that won nothing ..............
