We are back on line. All you true Roo supporters, lets get some chat going.
Here is the latest news:

Seb signed with Eagles, but will play for us if he does not make the side.
Matty Lance gone chasing $$ way out north.
Nick Wiese gone back home to Mundulla, good luck mate, always welcome.
Longman gone to Bridgewater. Would not train for us when it was nice weather, good luck up there when the rain sets in ya mercenary.
Ruwoldt joins Longman, after hand shake agreement with coach, for more $$. Remember how the club & its members supported & backed you after the Port Noarlunga game. Thanks for the loyalty.

To all players, WHERE ARE YOU?
Perhaps stop waiting for other offers, or other people to get you off your a**es.
Have not seen some people/players at the club for nearly 4 months.
I know everyone needs a break, but when you take something out of the club ie.$$, you could at least put something back. Our bar prices are way lower than the M.A. Broady or Holdy.
You know who you are.
GET OUT TO TRAINING.

Matty was a decent full back. Would not put a $ value on him though.
Daniel Longman has gone. I would say his brother would be too considering how far he travelled to play B grade.

Well if you get paid over $200 a game I think you should have been more than alright don't you?
He was played mostly off a flank or out of a pocket. Wasted.
It is not his fault where he was played, but i feel he stil owed the club something.
Obviously rates himself because he did not want to take a pay cut.

Gday MOE The reason alot of players havent been out to training is that they have no idea when or where training is . It is hard enough to motivate yourself to go to pre season training in the middle of summer but when no one has contacted the players and let them know when and where training is how many people do u expect to turn up?

A good point you make Deep Heat.
Whilst i agree players should be contacted about what is going on, or at at least have something on our website, if more players made the effort to come to the club in the off season just to catch up or have a drink, then i think they would be more in the loop.
It does go both ways.
Match committee & coaches should also get off their butts.
B grade coach has not been out to pre-season yet either. Dissappointing.

Moe - Is that 100% that Seb wont play Ressies at the Eagles? Seems a strange arrangement

Sorry, did not make that sound very clear.
Seb has said before that when at the Bays he was not given much of a chance in the 1's, so he played for us to a) get a full game & b) build up his profile.
He has given the SANFL a real crack this pre-season and has been picked up by Godden.
My info is if he cannot make the League team this season he will be back at MPFC sooner rather than later.
Seb remains one of the most popular blokes to have donned the cheese twistie strip in my 23 years at the club. He ranks up there with Roddy McDougall, Max Eddy, Dave Spry & Shane Pitt as adored players.
We wish him all the best, hope he makes the grade & returns one day to finish off his career.

OK got it, seemed strange he would do a full pre season with them and then Rnd 1 gets picked in the Ressies and wont play! Would probably be good if he stuck out the whole season with the Eagles no matter what happens, be a great experience for him...and if it doesnt work out he comes back in 2011

Be interesting to follow his progress, he seemed to sulk a bit at the Bay, maybe he has matured a bit

Training will start back on Monday 11th January at the Club 6pm sharp.
Lets smash the record for this pre-season and get 15 on the track.
Bar will open IF we get over 30 players on the track. Injured players & spectators do not count.
BBQ tea also for everyone. (Sausage sizzle)
Should not need incentives to get off the couch or out of the pub!!

Speaking of the bar, who'll be running it this year? I hear Pete is moving away?
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

I'd be surprised if Seb made it at league level. taking nothing away from him, he could be a great player in the southern league. just don't think he has the foot and hand skills to make it at league. would take alot of work to get him up to that level. not just 1 pre season. if he was serious bout playing league. he should give it a chance by sticking with the training and playing reserves if thats wat it takes, for a couple seasons to get his skills up to scratch

I'm pretty sure Roachie is staying.
Where is he going?
Is a good or bad thing he stays?
