Interesting to see that the A grade final is between 1 and 2. Both finished the minor round on 16 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw each with a small percentage splitting them. The draw for both sides was played out against each other at the start of the year. Both losses for each side was around the same margin but wineflies was against brighton. Both clubs played cove in a finals game and accountant for them by about the same margin. It looks like its shaping up for a cracker grandfinal between 2 even sides. Do brighton have the mental aspect over reynella because they fixed them up during the year? Both sides are hungry for a flag. Do reynella want it more as they have suffered longer? These questions will be answered late saturday arvo I guess.
For me the bombers will get the prize by 3 to 4 goals. It should be a cracker and it should be in peoples best interest to head down to watch it. And people say the sfl isn't alive.

Yeah good post, 2 deserved finalists. Reynella will need to shut down Brightons run (some how) huge advantage for the bombers on the big ground. Can't see the flies winning this, although I hope im wrong.

After being sold on Reynella ALL year I'm now leaning toward Brighton.

Just fitness, speed, willingness to run forward and back themselves in is better than i've ever seen at SFL level.

They seem hungry and look like old man sneezer has them peaking at just the right time.

Brighton by 1 goal.

I wouldn't take too much out of that last game they played, Reynella had a very different side that day due to Country championships and injuries, plus they great David Earl wasn't there to lead them.
I must admitt though Brighton did look very good on Saturday and as plenty of people have said they have plenty of runners. I guess Reynella will need to make sure they hit the packs hard and get to the ball first.

Looking forward to a great day on Saturday. Hope all the forum contributors will be in attendance. Junior GF's once again shows how unpredictable SFL juniors are in finals.

Under 14 - 2nd vs 4th
Under 16 - 4th vs 5th
Under 18 - 4th vs 5th
B Grade - 1st vs 3rd
A Grade - 1st vs 2nd

It's amazing how so many teams in junior finals butcher their chances by kicking first with the breeze and not using it to full advantage. 6 clubs represented in the GF's with no club having more than 2 teams so a good spread and hopefully a great crowd.

You won't be getting a tip from me but the match will be played with 2 contrasting styles from what I saw on the weekend. The run and carry of Brighton vs the long balls to the marking forwards of Reynella. Match ups will be very interesting.

Bad luck to the Emu's on Saturday. They were crippled with illness and injuries. They were brave for just over a half but didn't have the legs as the game went on. If you had shares in UDL I hope you sold some yesterday because their price would have soared after the multitude of cartons and flavours that were puchased and destroyed by the Emu's A grade boys yesterday.

Good luck to all this Saturday.

I hope for Reynella's sake they can break the hoodoo this year.
Always up there and just keep falling at the last hurdle. They might just do it this year!

Yes Dutchy come and join us in the RED ARMY on the outer wing, and don't forget to wear some RED.

Entrance fee is $7 for adults, kids under 16 free

What is the SFL rules on a drawn Grand Final??? Rematch week after or extra time? it is a possibility this week I reckon? Is it the same for B grade and juniors?

TIPS:
As - Draw
Bs - Brighton
18s - Cove (easy)
16s - Flaggy
14s - Flaggy

A grade first goal - J.Newnham (followed by the loudest and biggest celebration ever seen  )
most goals - Procter
most disposals - Norsworthy
most afl.com fantasy points - Shane Bradshaw
(if there is a winner) BOG medal - W.Rivers (not necasarilly in the winning side ;) )

Also another question, has a player from the losing side ever recieved the medal in the SFL? ala Nathan Buckley against Brisbane.

No. Medal winner has always been from the winning side in the A grade.
