Still going with Bobby McMahon, backed up by Jim Garden.
Nothing official yet, but my bet is that McMahon will finish off the full season. He's getting plenty of respect from the players.

Who are the recruits you are reffering to? Also who is captain of the Hawks now that Scott Kelly has left the club?

Kym Evans is skipper now, and from all accounts he led from the front with a top captain's game last Saturday.
As far as I know the only quality recruits were the Kellys themselves

Good to hear that Kym's loyalty has been rewarded by the coach. What is actually happening with Dave Kelly someone said that he was going to stay on at Hackham if so what role is he now playing(assistant coach to Bob)?

I think all people who personally know Kym would know he is a reason that clubs need to stay a float. Great bloke and loves the hard ball. Would be nice to see some of his passion and hard work to be rewarded.

Top bloke Kymmy, and a good honest player. Poor bugger tho, he was telling me once that out of the top 10 highest SFL scores/winning margins (I cant remember which one) that he has played on the wrong side in 6 of them! Thats in his time at Hackham and few seasons at Aldinga when Hackham folded for a bit. Ouch!

Yep, When he did play at Aldinga he trained twice a week, always reliable, enjoyed a beer and socialised with the boys. Played the way he does now even though was playing for a rival club. Well respected by the Dingy boys.

Thats good to hear they respect him. Poor bugger though about those 6 biggest losses. Not a good way to be remembered. Goes to show how crazy the lil angry man is. It would be nice to see Hackham improve but realistacally its a very very very very very.....(you get my drift) long way away.

Blake Mosar's getting talked about ---- good leap and plays a variety of positions.
Scott Brammer --- back this week after work committments, gives good bite around the ground
Kym Evans you know about --- dangerous when on the ball.
That is a couple of their better ones, but don't watch them a lot. Maybe some of the dyed-in-the-wool Hawks can fill you in on more.
Almost forgot --- used to have some strong blokes called Kelly but they weren't much cop when the pressure was on.

No sign of any Kellys (at least on the team sheet). Any promise to keep playing must have been all talk. However the club is doing an admirable job of carrying on regardless.

Any thoughts on who will be coaching the Hawks in 2009? Rumour has it former Brighton Premiership coach Ian Cox might be looking for a gig next season with the SANFL going to under 18 structure next season. Would be a good pick up for the Hawks. Anybody know who's on the shortlist?
