Backliner wrote:Sounds good for the Sharks. Could be a good opportunity for an up and coming coach such as Brad. Do we have a B grade coach yet? If so when does pre-season start and more importantly when does it start for players 30+?

Maybe the 30+ players can meet at the club for beers for 'comeraderie' before XMAS.

Backliner Greg Roben (spelling?) is the B grade coach and brings alot of experience and passion to the club along with Brad.

Can safely say with the atmosphere around the place surrounding Brad and his positive appointment we are all very excited to get under way.

And Leo I think you're just fishing mate but good on you we'd love any ex players to come back to help ensure the sharks rise in the coming years.

Nick would be a very handy inclusion but I can honestly say that he is quite comfortable at the Emus, good lad though......Did that get any browny points

I hear that Ryan O'Keefe should watch out for the Big Bangs time trial results also.

Yeah Nick Edwards! Former Shark used to carry the junior sides and was a real weapon!

Was very very good value that's for sure. Almost as much as Portlock. Why don't they both return at the same time then problems solved

personally, not too sure if either Edwards or Portlock could break into our A Grade. Edwards probly could, but do the sharks really need another on-baller??
they already got a few.....

J.Georgeson, Allen, Train, McGrath, Hirst, D.Georgeson, Scadden

surely thats enough rotation??

Made some further enquiries, played mostly C grade this year due to form and weight/fitness. Has definately spoke to someone from the club, not sure how official the discussions were or the outcome.

Ha ha about the same calibre.

Yes Leo we are talking to alot of players and Im sure someone like Nick would be great as we do want some locals back but in saying that Brad has done alot of homework, he is very serious about moving forward with the Sharks so it wouldn't surprise me at all. I can give you his number if you're keen to come on board mate?

The Emus had more than one former Aldinga junior as part of their machinery. Jared Kurtz also originated from Shark Park.

Let's just say that the boys at Emuland very rarely refer to Nick as "Sticks" anymore...

Hey mate yeah all seems good. As it's his first official A grade role and were a struggling club it'd be more a bit of both ways. We have given full confidence to Brad and already the signs we are seeing with just guys being motivated and keen is a great start before we have even touched the footies. I know what you mean rock but neither party needed lies to start our journey together and I for one feel that he will be a great part of our club.
