To tell you the truth I'm not sure why Hackham would have put an offer like that on the table - it's a lot of money regardless of how good a coach he is! I think Lynch has proven that he's not going to walk away from a club just because it's struggling (coached 3 years at Aldinga). I wasn't around prior to 2006, but from all accounts Aldinga used to get beaten by Hackham, so they've certainly improved a great deal in the years Lynch has been coach.

What I think Hackham might be overlooking is the fact that he brought a lot of players to Aldinga, which played a big part in their improvement. He's not going to be able to do it again at Hackham. Aldinga had a shit pre-season this year and should have won a lot more games than they did. They've got a fantastic side skills-wise, but they're lacking in fitness. If the same thing happens at Hackham, they're not going to move off the bottom of the ladder and they'll be several thousand dollars out of pocket.

Anyway, that was this year and next year may be a different story entirely. One thing's for sure - Shane Lynch is no Scott Kelly, he's not going to f**k off midway through the season. Good luck to him and Hackham in 2009. I would really like to see the Hawks win a few next year, because it's been a long time coming and they've earned it.

From all reports there are a few clubs after his srevices for next year, just wondering if anyone knows exactly how far talks have gone and what aldinga feel their chances are of this being a reality next year?

This one came up again in the rumour mill, if Lynchy is going to christies this might have more truth than people first thought! Can anyone down at the sharks shed any light on this? Or anyone else around the traps heard anything? Maybe someone like No Mercy might know, he seems to have his finger on the pulse of a few issues, might even know Scott from Henley days!

The trojan, i happened to catch up with him just over a week ago at the footy & we got talking over a beer & i just slipped in the coaching word & he indicated nothing at this stage ( coaching ) really interests him. he's enjoying watching his magpies both SANFL & AFL aswell as some Amateur Footy.

No Mercy, the question that was asked was weather Scott Hodges has been approached to coach the sharks, not if he was considering going for it. No Mercy, get back on the case for us and find out the info we all wanna know. Cheers!
