Aaron Crolla is a very good player. Onballer, plays like Ty Allen(the bay player)
Dane isN'T bad, super quick
Davin Natt is a very reliable old fashioned defender, doesnt get a lot of it but the guy he is on gets less
Kingy is a tough inside midfielder

Wow with reviews like that you would have thought they would have at least made the 8

Pretty sure those boys missed a fair chunk of the season with injury

Have heard that Ware from the wine flies has committed himself to 5 different clubs for the 2012 season. That's a great effort if he can pull it off !! he'll probably have to invest In an extra 5 wallets !! :D :D

So what is the deal with Noodles? Not going to be at Reynella in 2012? I would imagine that his old club in Pirie would be pretty interested in luring him back...he's a bit of a cult hero at the Pirie Lions. The dollars may be the limiting factor in him coming home.

Heard today Valleys are losing a number of players to an Amatuer League Club. Does anyone have any further info on this rumour? Dent must be making a really good impression out there, they're walking away in droves.

Not surprised by this - Dent and his Senior Operations Manager are completely unprofessional
This Ops Mgr is a running joke amongst the players.

Dent cant retain current players and his promised recruits must still be stuck in traffic

Committee must have their head in the sand or else they are too proud to say they may a mistake

Would be surprised to see Dent there in 2013

Have heard the on the grapevine (pardon the pun) that the wineflies have been wining and dining a recently retired SANFL player, I am sure this player will be taking his time to mull over the offer but the offer may be to good to refuse

Interesting read on the GSFL website, Farrier, Bradshaw and Ciampa signed at Keith, not that he played in the SFL last year but GreenBANK cha$ing the $$$ and $igning at Kaniva.

If those 3 Reynella players have in fact signed along with McKeough leaving certainly will leave some rather sizable holes in their playing group, Ware seems to be linked to more clubs than Bayliss has played at.

As I am relatively new to the club, I would like to say this.

The amount of time Matty and the recruitment panel have put in over the last two years has been outstanding. The amount of players they have interviewed and the way they seem to have gone about it has, to me, been impressive.

The sheer amount of money that some of these players are asking for is quite incredible. That sure is a lot of schnitties to sell to get just one player.

I for one have enjoyed being at the HVFC during last season, mainly on a Friday night. But, bagging people for doing their best is something I cannot understand.

I hope that the Vikings have a great year with Denty as the coach and the other very hard working committee behind all the coaches.

Vinnie I see your point mate and I am not disputing that there are some hardworking people on HV committee as there are on every footy club committee.

It doesnt matter how many people they have interviewed or how many hours they have spent doing it - they are not successful in their recruiting and the question should be asked why not? I heard that Dent got the job because he promised recruits and only 1 has turned up. They simply have the wrong people in key roles.

As far as how much $$$ the players are asking for Happy Valley have relied on player loyalty for far too long. These blokes get approached year after year from clubs in the HFL and GSFL offering big bucks and you are expecting them to say no? They stay cos they want to play with their mates but you cant expect them to keep turning down a $300-500 a game offer so they can get paid half that if they are lucky at HV. One things for sure it is not all about the money - retaining happy players is pretty easy - ask yourself why arent they happy?

Why do H.V.F.C. need a "recruitment panel" they have over 200 kids at there club.
Better of with a "development panel".
