Unfortunately DTH i frequent the same drinking holes as a few of your guys, and it would be a long summer having to listen to their premiership stories.
No malice intended, just need some pub ammo :D
On another note, I hope the flies win it all as 1973 is a long time between drinks, and it just makes the whole comp more interesting.

You were doing so well till this comment WLF! :D[/quote]

Woops 1977 :D

Geez everyone is tipping Morphett Vale on saturday, I guess finals experience does count for a lot!
I'm going to go out on my own (and DTH) and say Brighton will get over the Emu's with a big first quarter with the Emu's chasing them all the way going down by about 4 goals. With the injuries the Emu's have and the shit fest they had to endure on Sunday plus the fact I think the weather will be good I think the Bombers will be too fresh.
Will be a great game to watch though almost as good as the semi between MV and RFC!
Obviously tipping the Wineflies in the Sunday game. ;)
The only time i've ever been wrong...was when I thought I was wrong!!!

Emus havent lost a prelim since 2003. In fact i cant remember them actually playing in a close one since that loss to Noarlunga.

MV have played in last 6 GF's and in a final 8 you have to win a Prelim to make the GF so of course they have won 6 Prelims in a row. But worth noting that in the last 5 they had the week off prior to the Prelim.

There's an old saying: "All good things must come to an end".

Interesting to look at Brighton's last 6 weeks -

MV 17.8 d BB 10.7
BB32.18 d ET 5.4
BYE
BB 24.9 d HV 14.5
BB 18.15 d C 6.7
BYE

Not an ideal lead in i wouldn't have thought coming into a tough prelim final, 3 games in 5 weeks with the closest marging being 64 points! MV do match up well against Brighton also.

Tomorrow's Forecast: Fine, partly cloudy with light to moderate winds.

This converts to blowing the usual September gale at Port Noarlunga. And if anyone from Porties is listening, can we have someone on the scoreboard who stays awake, actually watches the game and can count.

Good luck.
Especially if more than 5 goals are kicked.

My tips are Brighton by 7 goals and reynella by 10+ goals
I really do believe Brighton will be well rested and their niggling injuries should be feeling good and the emus have had a tough run home with reynella x2 and the game last week. Emus have just lost too many players this season, yes as we hear they have depth but depth to take on the minor premier on a mutual ground???
Although I remember a final at porties only a few years ago that emus wiped the floor by 15-20 goals. Either way a great game.
Reynella just a class above this week was always only a top 3 this year

Hasnt been mentioned much, but it has to be said that if Brighton and Reynella do not progress through to the grand final, it is a massive under acheivement and a choke  . With the seasons they have had, with the week off they have got, and with the conditions/contests MV and Cove had to endure last week, I find it unacceptable that they both dont progress. Its in their hands and they just need to carry out the buisness.
