Sorry, thought it was a done deal

My sources tell me that Dion "Dr" Hibberd has also applied for the Plympton gig. Not as a player either, i think he has retired?

My mail is that Hibbs is on Hackham and Morphettvale's radar for next year as a player. Not sure if he has applied for coach's job at Plympton.

He has been to every other club hasn't he?

Surely not. The guy could hardly move in his last year at Edwardstown. Then again, if he wants to be a modern day Tony Nobes - he still needs another three or four clubs on his CV

Well if you are from MVP then maybe you should check out the former player you are looking to appoint next year - it appears he now knows what handcuffs feel like.....[/quote]

Lets hope these clubs dont get sucked in - not all AFL players would make great coaches - just look at Christies Beach this year.....

Do you have any names ????. You do have a point but if you get one that understands the committment required, is there for the right reasons and is not there for a massive salary why wouldn't you take them. What was so bad about Christies coach???

No names - all being kept very close their chests as far as who these ex AFL players are.
You are right if you can get someone for the right reasons who is not their for the big bucks then go for it - someone like Rod Jameson who has already coached the SFL Association may be OK - has anyone got any feedback on him? Also I hear Scott Hodges and Wayne Weiderman names popping up but not from anyone who would know who has applied.

The current Chrisites coach is a ex AFL player and a disgrace - when they played valley and were getting soundly beaten he realised they couldnt make finals and his address at 3/4 time could be heard over the other side of the oval - "lets make sure some of these c**ts cant play in the finals either" - what a great promotion of your club. Also heard he was like that against Noarlunga - but not against M Vale. Hey hear is a tip - try getting the footy????

Both Hodges and Weiderman are already coaching and have been for some time, Hodges at Seaton and Weiderman at PHOS Camden and i'm pretty sure both blokes are already committed to those two teams.

Hodges has resigned as Seaton coach. Weidemann has committed for next year.

interesting... wonder if the SFL is too far from home for Hodges then?
Bring on Cousins I say - that should get the bar ticking over nicely and the WAGS would be happy.
Or maybe Fevola if you really want the bar takings to skyrocket

What about Hibberd? - MV Park, $hoes, Plympton, Towns. All generally at least two separate stints

No signings yet for a coach at Morphy Park. Maybe Edwardstown are making a move on him!

Anyone from Townies to confirm this? Would be pretty interesting if they are looking for a new coach given what took place last year.

Their main man has also just signed on again with Mt Lofty for next year so wonder who they will target now
Can stringer be talked into doing the a grade??

Are you sure about Coleman re-signing? If this is true it sounds like Lofty will have quite a few players walk out on the club.

intersting .... have only heard good things about him but that is not from people he has coached... opinions tend to change after a mate coaches you

You'd think they'd resign him after those lads exceeded all expectations beating OV and Blackwood in finals.
