My nephew wants me to take him to tomorrow nights game (lol I didn't even know there was one on), and with the temperature expected to hit about 40 tomorrow it got me wondering whether the A-League has a heat rule of any sort?

They do have a heat rule in the A-League.

Like in the above situation it was applied late last year in a Perth Glory v NZ Knights game on a hot day a few weeks ago here in Perth. The players had a 3 min or so break after 20 mins in each half.

Funny thing was it wasn't announced before kickoff that they'd be doing this and the crowd was wondering what was going on when the ref blew his whistle and the players started heading towards a drinks tray at the boundary.

Very sensible rule though. 45 minute halves were not invented with Aussie summers in mind!
