Not a bad draw for the Socceroos first round qualies. Drawn with Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Bangladesh

I wouldn't underestimate Tajikistan, Jim. They've got some world class players, in fact some of the best players in the Tajikistani League play for them. With Makhmudov in the engine room, they could be lethal if we allow Fatkhuolev too much space. Tokhirov must be well-marked as well if we're to have any chance, and, as always, I expect Rajabov to be a rock in defence. Very much looking forward to Socceroos v Tajikistan, hopefully we'll see another chapter written in this epic rivalry.

This
Will never change. When you are the biggest sport in the World and have the biggest sporting event in the World there will alway be copious ammounts of coin changing hands. The guy coming in is as big of a crook as Blatter

Rumours that either the poms or Australia will be offered the World cup of 2022 if Qatar are found of foul play for their win

Would love that but unfortunately the new President will most likely come from a Middle Eastern nation, cant see them wanting to rock the boat

maybe so but when they find that the arabs did bride the chiefs it must go to another vote and go through the process again
to me that would put us on another chance

Definately gives us another shot but still think it will end up the same. The Prince is as corrupt as Blatter so the process will always be the same. Unfortunately for Australia we are mostly on our own in soccer terms. The Arab nations all band together and the Asian nations all band together, if it goes to a vote we will be lucky to get a handful on our side. We need to try and get some support from those two bases and hopefully the Yanks and other American countries vote for us. The Europeans will all vote for the UK

Reckon they will go for a bit established nation if they do change it. They are already copping a lot for the stuff coming out about the Nepalese workers in Qatar so that would put The UK in the box seat I reckon. And less so Australia.

Sad that Goodison isnt up to standards anymore, still one of the best stadiums to watch soccer in.

I can't fathom how it costs 42 million just to bid?
How can FIFA possibly justify this, or anybody for that matter!

Biggest event in World sport, no problem with countries paying that. If no countries bidded the price would come down but plenty still are willing to so it shows the demand is great
