Friendly on tonight, I really like the squad Olga has gone with. Some good young players in there including Leckie, Oar, Rogic, Holland.
I'm a bit surprised Cornthwaite is in the squad and my pet hate Neill is still taking someone's else spot.
We need to pick a young squad and get game time into these blokes as there the way forward looking toward brazil

Agreed, Cornthwaite is a hack but when you are playing a pack of midgets his height may become crucial. Id still expect him to concede a penalty though. Time for Neill to eff off, never been a fan of him. Always been a plodder with terrible skills. Get some game time into those who will be there in 2014 and beyond

Cornthwaite now starting!!!!
Really really tiny gripe, we are trying to attract new and young people to the game yet all Robbie and Bozza are talking about is players playing like a number 9 or a number 10 etc etc. Its the 2000's a players number doesnt refer to their style of play anymore, to new or young people you might as well speak turkish it would make as much sense to them.

10th minute
South Korea- 1 Aus- 0
Poor defending resulting in goal. Ball crossed in from the right. Only one Korean in the box but Cornthwaite and Neill were covering an area rather than the man who then finished with a nice volley

Cornthwaite hasnt learnt anything new playing in Korea, he is still crap. Neill is still a hack, ball watching as usual If Archie and Brosque make it to Brazil we are screwed, both not good enough. Good goal by Nikita and great ball by Oar. Valeri working his arse off as usual, really like him

CORNFLAKES!!!!
AUS 2 SK 1
Your right Jim Cornflakes is identical, plays like carp is at fault for one goal against and then from a free kick forward scores from a goal mouth scramble.

Agree with all of that.
Im close to Archies biggest fan but his not going to be there come Brazil and rightly as you said if he is we are screwed. Its time to get as much game time into the likes of Nikita, McDonald, Rogic, Leckie etc etc, same goes for Brosque.
Oar has been very good but wasteful, hopefully with more game time those crosses will hit the spot. I wanna see the likes of him and Kruse given as many games against good opposition as possible.

Impressed with the pace and skill of the kids, need to be getting as much game time as possible into them. Future looking a lot brighter than it did 12 months ago

It's been years since they lost at home I think, I did see the stat earlier but can't find it now.
Japan have scored early against Oman too so hopefully they go on and win that.

FULL TIME
AUS 2 SK 1
its SK first loss on home soil in 27 games, in fairness they were far from full strength as well.
definate room for improvement mainly at the back. McGowan looks like a ready made right back.
Holland had a real good dip, lacked abit of polish but couldnt question his effort.
Has Schwarzer indicated whether he will be around for Brazil, i presume so.

Liked McGowan As you said Holland has a real crack and looks a likely type. Schwarzer will go to Brazil, think he still has another year left on his current Fulham contract

the centre back positions are a real worry
Neill cant be there next world cup, Corthwaite hasn't improved defensively, Thwaite & North im not sure about.
I think once fit Spiranovic is probably the answer, not sure who with though, Sasha Ogga?

Definate no to Neill and Cornthwaite. Not a fan of North Reckon Thwaite has improved but still has lapses, probably worth persisting with. Big fan of Spiranovic, he is a certainty. Sasha is serviceable but lacks pace

I was very impressed with Holland last night. At only 23 years of age he looks like a really good prospect for the national team.

This is not from the Aussie game but it's from a friendly between Sweden and England where Ibra scored 4. His 4th was absolutely ridiculous, Joe Hart stuffed up but it allowed Ibra to do this:
