73 people confirmed dead and thousands injured in a football riot in an egyptian league game this morning

That's really sad.

There were unconfirmed reports that a player may have been killed too apparently.

A game in Cairo was also subsequently called off to mourn those who died in the Port Said riot. The fans at that game then started to riot too and set fire to the stadium, but no injuries were reported in that incident.

Wait for all the peanuts to sprout off about "Soccer" and violence. It's started on Adelaide Now.

This had nothing to do with Football. All to do with factions in a torn country.

They were waiting for the right time and place to start their "war" and used the Football game as their pawn.

RIP to the deceased, and may those who killed or who used violence find swift justice....

Lots of references to Mubarak supporters etc.
Wreeks of political violence, nothing to do with the beautiful game.

Rubbish. You dont see any violence in Australian Rules games in Egypt! :lol:
