great result for BRUM, 49yrs in european wilderness

i did fear the worst.

i hope that Europe dont affect any league progress this season - although I do fear we wont be going up, i dont want Europe to hinder that.

Was great to see Rangers and Celtic struggle aswell. Celtic only managed a 0-0 home draw with Sion whilst Rangers conceded an injury time goal to lose 2-1 away to Maribor. Would love to see those pricks knocked out

Celtic are appealing the result of their matches against Sion with Sion playing unregistered players, the hearing is later this week but Sion could be thrown out and replaced by Celtic

No wins today for the British sides with 3 draws and 3 losses.
Stoke would be over the moon getting a point away to Dynamo Kiev. Kiev have a lot of European experience and its always difficult playing over there. Fulham are probably happy with a home draw against the group favourites.
Biggest upset for me was Lazio only drawing 2-2 at home to Romanian minnows Vaslui.

came from behind to get that draw also we had about 9 changes to the side that played against Milan and I am sure the Romanians deserved the point. It shouldn't be a shock most Italians sides don't care and play reserve sides in this comp at least until the round of 32. Sad but true.

Mixed bag for the English sides.
Great away win sees Stoke top of their group and only a point away from going through to next round.
Comprehensive win for Fulham.
Birmingham drew 2-2 at home
Spurs lost 1-0 in Russia to drop to 3rd in group

Bad day for the Brits with Spurs, Brum and Celtic losing.
All 3 on verge of elimination.
Cant see any of them going through

fook sake Brum missed a penalty and then concede a dodgy goal.

we will take it easy the next 2 championship games and have a real big crack at the last opportunity to qualify further into the europa comp.
