One more leg before the "big" boys come in. So here is an update of who will / might be playing who.

Liverpool have been handed a trip into the unknown in the third qualifying round of the Europa League.
The Reds will face either Macedonian side Rabotnicki or Armenian outfit Mika following the draw in Nyon.
Rabotnicki are currently in pole position to face Liverpool after winning the first leg of their second qualifying round 1-0 at home.
The two-legged encounter will take place on 29th July and 5th August with the first leg at Anfield representing new boss Roy Hodgson's first competitive game in charge.

Scottish side Hibernian have been drawn against Hungarians Videoton or Slovenian side Maribor in the third qualifying round of the Europa League and will be away from home in the first leg.
The tie between Videoton and Maribor is delicately poised after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.

The other Scottish side in the draw, Motherwell, will face Norwegian outfit Aalesund if they get past Icelandic league leaders Breidablik.
Craig Brown's men claimed the upper hand in their tie with a 1-0 win on Thursday night.

Irish outfit Shamrock Rovers were handed a potential dream tie against Italian giants Juventus if they can see off Bnei Yehuda of Tel Aviv.
Rovers will travel to Israel with spirits high after securing a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their second-round qualifier with a late equaliser.

Welsh side Bangor City, who drew 1-1 with Honka Espoo this week, will face Maritimo or Sporting Fingal if they can overcome the Finns.

Cliftonville, leading 1-0 against Cibalia, will face CSKA Sofia if they get through and Portadown will tackle Siquliai or Wisla Krakov if they overturn a 2-1 deficit against Qarabag.

Rovers aim to play Juventus in Tallaght

SHAMROCK ROVERS will resist calls to move next week’s high-profile Europa League qualifier with Juventus to the RDS, preferring to back themselves in front of their passionate home support at the Tallaght Stadium.

As the scramble for tickets started yesterday – the Rovers website went down for a number of hours as it struggled to cope with the volume of traffic – chairman Jonathan Roche confirmed the match will remain in Tallaght, but he has requested a special dispensation from Uefa to erect 3,000 temporary seats at the venue and bring the capacity to 9,000.

Roche is “confident” the request will be granted but as it stands, Juventus are entitled to 300 tickets (five per cent of capacity), with the remainder likely to be snapped up quickly, soon after sales details are released this morning.

Rovers have 3,500 members and season ticket holders who are entitled to at least a ticket each for next Thursday’s game. For the return leg in Modena on August 5th, they will receive an allocation of 1,000. That number would have been greater had the Stadio Olimpico not already been booked out by U2.

The match will instead take place 300kms down the autostrada at the Stadio Alberto Braglia, the home venue of Serie B side Modena, with a capacity of just 19,000.

Rovers already stand to make in excess of €400,000 over the two legs, from gate receipts and television rights, and that figure will rise should they succeed in increasing capacity at Tallaght Stadium.

I'll be happy getting through to the next round whatever the result.
They are halfway into their season in Sweeden so they are match harden, where Napoli are just starting their season but we should be too strong.

Piss poor effort by City. Scabby 2nd goal to Poznan but the third was a terrific shot. City need 4 points from 2 games to qualify for the ko stages.

Also heard last night that Tevez has done a runner and gone AWOL

The implosion has begun and I would be suprised to see Mancini still in charge come Christmas if results don't take a dramatic up turn. Should never have sacked Hughes IMHO
