heard that man uniteds main sponsor AIG is filling for a bail out by the us government off 100 billion dollars :roll:

The US Govt has stepped in and bailed them out to the tune of $55b.

On that note, Northern Rock, who sponsors Newcastle has gone bust, XL who sponsors West Ham have gone the same way and but for the grace of Uncle Sam, AIG who sponsors Man U would have followed them. Maybe the inverstors would be better advised watching who sponsors a premiership club, than the stock market.

Just on West Ham's sponsor, did you see they had a patch stitched over the sponsor on their kits last week I think it was?

I can't seem to find a photo of it now but it was quite bizarre.

Yeah, I saw that RM. Funny thing was, the colour of the patch was a little different from the shirt and it was reported that the kit lady had to hand stich them on the night before the match.

XL was the sponsor

Saw the reserves mid week and they had just a plain WHU shirt. No patch, no logo
