Partick Thistle versus Evil Huns

Play In the Scottish Cup quarter finals this week and here's hoping the Mighty Jags demolish one arm of the Evil Empire. Given some of the shocks in the FA Cup I can only hope that the trend continues and the Maryhill Maygars send Walter Smith's bunch of jammy bast*rds packing.

C'mon Thistle.

wishful thinking never hurt

im hoping ABERDEEN can get past celtic, but i dont think that'll happen as they had there chance at pittodrie until celtic scored with seconds to go

i think GERS might get the treble domestically

All over.

Rangers 1 - 1 Partick Thistle

Kris Boyd spared Rangers' blushes as they earned a 1-1 draw with Partick Thistle in their Scottish Cup quarter-final. The Scottish international followed up his weekend CIS Cup heroics to cancel out Damon Grey's shock opener for Partick as the First Division side threatened a major shock at Ibrox.
Partick refused to be overawed by Rangers in the early stages and Grey went close to scoring midway through the first half when he saw his shot palmed out by Allan McGregor.
Charlie Adam wasted Rangers' best chance in the opening period when he fired wide after a quick counter attack.
Rangers were inches away from opening the scoring on 57 minutes when Steven Naismith saw his header from Steven Davis' cross clip the crossbar.
Partick stunned the home fans when they broke the deadlock on 67 minutes as Grey broke the offside trap and coolly lifted the ball over McGregor.
The lead proved short-lived as Rangers hit back to equalise two minutes later with Boyd forcing the ball home from close range after a goalmouth scramble.
Partick held on to secure a lucrative replay at Firhill to add to Rangers' already congested fixture schedule.
