Manchester C. 1 - 1 Napoli - great game, really enjoyed watching it from a neutral stand point, both sides played well, attacking and counter attacking football.
Villarreal 0 - 2 Bayern Munich
Inter Milan 0 - 1 Trabzonspor - not bad seeing they where the replacement side for Fenebarcce who where kicked out for match fixing.
Lille 2 - 2 CSKA Moscow - Lille where 2-0 up with 15 minutes to play.
Basel 2 - 1 Otelul Galati
Ajax Amsterdam 0 - 0 Lyon
Dinamo Zagreb 0 - 1 Real Madrid

I have delibratly left out the Benfica V Man utd score as it is now being shown on SBS.

Have to agree very entertaining game, some dodgy defending but both teams willing to attack.Man City dominating possesion passing it around and Napoli deadly on the counter attack, 1-1 was a fair result and napoli would be really happy with the point away from home.
Rapt with the result and the way we played

Benfica looked good. Quick one touch passing and harried Utd all night.
Rooney forced to play too deep just to get a touch of the ball.
Shocking defending for Benfica's goal but Gigg's equaliser was sensational.

We achieved what we needed with a heap of replacements, good to give a few of the fringe players a run although wouldnt mind if Carrick never wore a United shirt again. Benfica were good value and as our main rivals in the group im happy to get out of there with a point

Napoli - City game was a cracker, could have been a much higher scoreline, posters, crossbars, clearances off the line it had everything. Funny that Kun was getting jeers from Napoli fans (Maradona's son-in-law) and what about Mazzarri and that very suave jacket he was wearing.

for those who watch SBS, did you think Ned Zelic was on speed? that bloke has been bonkers the last few times hes been on.

Piss weak effort by United this morning, to lead 2-0 at half time and then to cough up 3 goals in the second half at home is unacceptable. Lucky that Young equalised at the death. Defending was poor, time for a couple of them to be moved on. Only bright spot for the day was City losing

dont think anything has changed. Like i said and have been saying, alot of teams in the EPL and champ league maybe they havent been gelling or gelled as much as man united had in the ifrst few weeks.

I dont think your team had got any better from last year its just the other teams were way off the mark and maybe they are starting to catch up a bit

The concern for me is that if either Rooney or Vidic dont play we look ordinary. Ferdinand needs to be pensioned off, is too slow.

join the club Jim. We lost 2 players and were wiped off the park.

Ferdinand still has a few more years left in him. Dont get me wrong im not talking any Man United player up but he still has some good points.

United should cruise this group. I think they were thinking the same last night and it nearly caught them out.
Maybe Bully has a point when he said Utd aren't a better team this year, it's just the rest of the EPL has gone backwards. 1 point in Two games in what on paper looks a fairly easy group isn't good.

The City implosion has begun. Tevez refused to go on as a sub last night prompting Mancini to say in his press conference that Tevez will never play for City again as long as he is manager.

Tevez gave his own press conference through a translator, saying his head wasn't right so he decided he wouldn't play.

Djeko was also very unhappy about getting subbed and spat the dummy too. Bunch of PRIMA donnas

2 points mate. The group leaders are on 4 points and they have both played the minnow Romanian mob. We play them next. We should be cruising through group though, dare say Fergie will be fielding stronger teams for the remainder of matches

Yeah sorry Jim. 2 points in two games and agree Fergie will think about his squad in future games. He admitted himself last night that it was a wake up call

Predicted this would happen months ago.
We have seen how Real Madrid have tried the same and won stuff all, no matter how much the stars are being paid they all want match time. City has always been a loser club with a loser culture all the money in the world wont change that
