for as long as I can remember, so the early 90's at least.
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

Angola 0 – 1 Ghana
Côte d'Ivoire 2 – 3 (a.e.t.) Algeria

Egypt v Cameroon (Winners play Algeria)
Zambia v Nigeria (Winners play Ghana)

who can see Egypt V Algeria in a world cup qualifyer replay maybe just as violent.

They should rename the tourny to 'African Cup of Defensive Blunders'

At least Ghana scraped through, but Egypt would just about be shoe-ins now...

That's African football for you mate. All flair and attacking, which is great to watch, but the defense and goalkeeping is jaw-dropping at times.

Having said that, Tottenham have 2 African defenders (Bassong and Assout Ekotto) from Cameroon. However, in the Cameroonian Football Departments infinite wisdom, Bassong was not seleted. He's been fantastic for Spurs this season, yet he's left out of their squad - idiots.

Plus, have you ever seen a brilliant African goal keeper?

So, the final will be Ghana v Egypt.

Ghana beat Nigeria, while Egypt thrashed Algeria in a fiery encounter.

Algeria had 3 players sent off for various reasons, but they bascially lost the plot.

The first goal came from the penalty spot, but it should have been re-taken. The Egyptian player ran in to take his kick, stopped dead as he was about to kick the ball, waited for the keeper to move and then just gently passed the ball to the opposite side of the goal. It was farcical.

Yep - Nadir Balhadj. That was an absolute disgrace. FIFA should ban him for 6 months for that. his only intention was to cause injury.

Haha, the Ghana goal celebration was great!

What a joke of a performance by the Algerian keeper. BTW, forgot to mention yesterday - what the heck was that blue stuff on his neck and back for?
