Drogba dragged Chelsea back into the game for maybe a minute (if not less)... great reply by United with Park scoring. Giggs was immense setting up both goals.

Ancelotti will surely be sacked now, why he started Drogba on the bench I do not know. Even though it is likely that Roman requested that Torres played.

next coach of Roma, was a done deal at the start of the year

Apparently Totti has said he won't retire until he has worked under Ancelotti so you could be right there.

Great to knock out the chavs and even better that torres still cant score. Here comes a United v Barca final, how great would it be if we can edge city this week to play in 2 wembley finals back to back.
Do feel sorry for ancelotti he clearly doesnt want to play that waste of money torres but roman overules him in team selection. Ancelotti is a great manager and decent bloke and its a disgrace that a manager cant have absolute power over team selection, he deserves better than the chelski scum, good luck to him if he leaves.

It's just been confirmed that David Blaine's 40-Day world record for doing nothing in a box has been beaten by Fernando Torres!!

Could end up playing them 3 times in 10 days as our league game falls in there somewhere.
Winners for me are
United, Barca, Real and Schalke

Gee wish i had some money on it :)

Here comes another Barca - United final you'd think, United will be far too strong for Schalke and Barca will destroy Real again just like earlier in the season. I bet Jose wishes he could do another Inter this season but i dont think the head honchos in Madrid will allow him. Parking the bus and hitting on the counter is the only way you can knock Barca off.

Why is the European CL Cup inscribed in French? Has a French club ever won the CL or even gotten to a final? do most of Europe speak French?

or is it the shithouse Platini again????

With just four teams left here is the market for the cup winner:

FC BARCELONA $2.00
MANCHESTER UNITED $3.50
REAL MADRID $4.33
FC SCHALKE 04 $15.00

Same trophy though isnt it?
Thought they just renamed the european cup the Champions league.
You dont say united have won 1 european cup and 2 champions league trophies, most people i know say united has 3 european cups or 3 CL trophies.
Well thats my understanding anyway

Clearly the Champions League is the incorrect name for this competition when 2nd, 3rd and 4th qualify.
Should revert back to the European Cup.

I also agree but it is all about the name, sounds 'better' than simply European Cup even though the name is not really accurate.

How about the European league

I mean any comp with Arsenal can hardly have Champions in the name ;)

United have played schalke off the field in 1st half but their keeper has kept us scoreless.
We are playing like home side, 68% possesion and 10-4 shots on goal. Need to kill them off second half and take a lead back to OT for next week

You know what's gonna happen. United will have 99% of possession, 68 shots on target and lose 1-0

Couple of stats.

This is Fergie's 100th away game in European comps with Man U

The last English club to win at Shalke was Man City (sorry Jim)

Gigsy makes itch-0

All over rover. Matter now of how many Man U score and they deserve it. Class above Shalke. Rooney's pass was sublime
